Quick report: The 6-0, 185-pound left-handed hitter emerged this summer as one of the best pure bats in Texas; will produce above-average/plus 60-yard dash times and has speed for center field.
No. 2 – Luke Tucker – INF – Krum (TX) – LSU commit
Quick report: Left-handed hitting infielder has one of the best swings in Texas and light on his feet for being 6-4, 210-pound prospect; power projection accompanies strong future hit tool and should play on left side of the infield; was a 2025 Area Code selection.
No. 3 – Joshua Viars – INF – Walnut Grove (TX) – West Virginia commit
Quick report: Physical athlete with long track record of hitting from right side with impact; will play in the middle infield and has the arm strength to play all over the diamond; 2024 Area Code selection and will be a four-year high school starter.
No. 4 – Everett Burdett – RHP – La Cueva (NM) – Oregon State commit
Quick report: Projectable 6-3, 190-pound right-hander who shows a four-seam and two-seam fastball look with easy velocity into the low-90s; can manipulate breaking ball looks; starter’s operation and feel for execution.
No. 6 – Landon Brown – RHP/INF – Iowa Colony (TX) – Mississippi State commit
Quick report: Recently touched 97 MPH earlier this week with the Dodgers South Texas Scout Team; 6-3 right-hander who can fill up the zone, flashes a future above-average changeup and can land a sweeping breaking ball for a strike; can also play third base and hit with some impact from right side.
No. 7 – Ethan Carswell – INF – Blue Valley (KS) – USC commit
Quick report: Switch-hitting middle infielder profiles as classic top-of-the-order bat; can impact the game defensively, on the bases and with the stick; more of a contact-over-impact right-handed swing and should show one of the best left-handed swings in the event with bat speed; 2024 Area Code selection.
No. 10 – Jax Robinson – C – Waxahachie (TX) – Texas commit
Quick report: 5-11, 195-pound backstop has some of the best plate skills and swing decisions in Texas; long track record of hitting and getting to pull-side power; can cover the plate well; solid receiver and accurate to the bag.
No. 11 – Drake Hawpe (2027) – OF/RHP – Liberty Christian (TX) – LSU commit
Quick report: Our No. 1 rated player in Texas for the 2027 class; 6-3, 190-pound left-handed hitting outfielder with future plus power, good strike zone feel, future plus arm; will run fastball into the low 90s off the mound; 2024 and 2025 Area Code selection.
No. 12 – Luke Sandefur – RHP – Aledo (TX) – ACU commit
Quick report: Features one of the best breaking balls in Texas, a 3000 RPM curveball with impact depth; 5-9, but physical, strong and one of the best athletes of any pitcher in Texas; recently had a 37-inch vertical jump and fastball will climb into the low-90s; throws a lot of strikes.
No. 17 – Oliver Minyard – C – Woodrow Wilson (TX) – uncommitted
Quick report: Young for the class and could be a 2027 prospect; physical 6-1, 195-pound backstop who moves and receives well; noticeable bat speed hunts extra-base impact; confidence in strong arm.
No. 19 – Wyatt Clewett – OF/RHP – Montgomery (TX) – Baylor commit
Quick report: Tall, strong left-handed hitting corner outfielder who creates some leverage and can drive the ball out of the yard; has played corner infield in past; strike-thrower with multiple pitches on the mound and arm strength; 2024 Area Code selection.
No. 20 – Harper Gates – INF/RHP – The Bennett School (TX) – Texas A&M commit
Quick report: Skilled, 6-2, 195-pound two-way prospect who profiles on left side of the infield; gap-to-gap power and growing into more; true two-way prospect with solid three-pitch mix and fastball that was recently up to 92 MPH.
No. 22 – Karson Reeder – RHP/INF – The Bennett School (TX) – Texas commit
Quick report: Arguably the most skilled pitcher in Texas; advanced feel for making the ball move any way he wants; fastball recently reached 94 MPH and can spin two quality breaking balls headlined by a slider that can climb into the 3000 RPM range; will kill spin of changeup; underrated athlete who can also hit from right side; 2024 and 2025 Area Code selection.
No. 23 – Schafer Dixon (2027) – RHP/UTIL – Mountain Ridge (UT) – uncommitted
Quick report: Tall, projectable right-handed pitcher with deep arsenal and fastball that was up to 91 MPH earlier this fall; already 6-3, still growing into frame and will flash two different breaking balls; easily one of the top prospects in Utah and region for 2027.
No. 24 – Jayden Stewart – RHP – Katy (TX) – Houston commit
Quick report: 6-6 right-hander is also a standout basketball player and it translates to easy, low-effort operation on mound with low-90s fastball; routinely lands slider for strikes and firm changeup helps neutralize lefties; feel for execution and some of the best control in Texas.
No. 27 – Logan Brown – RHP/1B – Keller (TX) – Houston commit
Quick report: Possesses one of the best sinker-sweeper duos in Texas; at 6-4, 220 pounds, repeats easy delivery well and profiles as a future starting pitcher; fastball works into the low 90s and there is more on the horizon; consistently fills up the zone with confidence.
No. 44 – Judson Dowell – OF/RHP – The Bennett School (TX) – Texas A&M commit
Quick report: Longtime top prospect has well-rounded tools; 5-11 compact, physical athlete who has produced plus 60-yard dash times in the past and hit multiple balls harder than 100 MPH at Area Code this year; strong outfielder arm.
