Welcome to the new year and welcome to the new Five Tool website! We're happy you're here.

Let's get you acquainted with our new site we've been working on specifically catered to the player with college coaches/scouts, parents, club coaches, high school coaches, and fans in mind as well.

This website offers a unique social media component to help you follow all things baseball. As you scroll down the main page, you'll notice "The Line". This is our news feed (All Activity) which includes all posts and updates in the Five Tool universe:

· Player video uploads from Five Tool staff in our events and high school/JUCO coverage

· Player YouTube and Twitter uploads (links) by the player

· Player commitment tracker

· Scout and staff notes

From here, you can click on "My Feed" to customize your updates and "My Posts" where you'll find things posted from yourself and about you.

Let's get you started and on your way to tailoring your feed to follow specific updates and interact with The Line. Below you will find a breakdown on each of our options with the Premium Player Profile, Scout, and Parent/Coach Gold.

Premium Player Profile

First thing's first, let's get you onto your player profile. To do so, please search for your name in our database.

You can do so by click on the banner which will take you to a search or you can search in any of our search menu options. If you cannot find your name and have played in a Five Tool event, please check if your nickname appears or try searching by last name only. If you have any issues, please email web@fivetool.org for assistance.

If you have not played in a Five Tool event and would like to join The Line, please click on the "join" button. 

Once you've found your player profile, please click the yellow "Claim This Profile" bar. You'll be prompted to enter your email associated with your account. Plug this in and follow the instructions sent to that email you've entered.

If you do not have an email associated with your account, please email web@fivetool.org with your name, link to profile, email you want to be associated with, and let us know that you would like to claim that profile.

Follow all instructions in the email sent to your email on file to purchase a Premium Player Profile.

Go to your profile page and upload a profile picture and cover photo to your profile.

Confirm/Update your personal information in your bio, including your college commitment, if applicable.

Select the yellow "Claim This Profile" bar to claim your profile today!

Search your high school in the search bar at the top right of the home page and confirm your profile is linked to your high school's page. If it is not, select your high school from the menu, which you can access from the third edit box under your profile picture.

Update your select team under your profile picture if the team in our database is no longer accurate by using the second edit box under your profile picture. -Add your correct twitter handle to the "Latest Tweets" section by clicking the green edit button and typing in your twitter handle.

Click the "Add & Reorder Video" button to add videos from youtube (select "Youtube" on the "Type" dropdown). You may also rearrange the order in which your videos appear by dragging and dropping the videos in the second section of that page.

Click the "Add & Reorder Twitter Video" button to add tweets that include your highlights by simply pasting the twitter URL into the box on the next page. You may also rearrange the order in which your tweets appear by dragging and dropping the tweets in the second section of that page.

FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY - If you have videos that you would like for us to add for you, please email us at web@fivetool.org and someone will reach out to you to collect the videos you would like added to your video player. Please note that these videos must have been taken by a parent, friend or coach, rather than another third party without express written consent.

If you previously earned a Player of the Game, Dude of the Day/Weekend, or any other award from Five Tool that does not appear in your "Five Tool Badges" section, please send a link to the page showing the award to web@fivetool.org and we will update your profile immediately.

Start interacting on the Line! You will receive updates on your personalized Line from any high school team, select team, college team or individual player you follow. You can like and/or comment on any post made to The Line. Each high school page and college page has its own "Line" that will show only highlights from players that attend that high school, or commits to that college, as applicable.

Scout

College coaches and MLB scouts are welcomed under the Scout membership. Simply select "Join" in the menu tab and "Join Today" under the Scout section. You'll be taken to another screen to select monthly or yearly subscription option. Once you've completed and submitted registration, Five Tool will verify that you are a college coach or MLB scout using your associated email. If you do not have one, please email web@fivetool.org once registering to let us know you've signed up as a scout and want to be verified.

Scouts get access to the following:

· Player contact information

· Customizable feed by following players, events, high schools, colleges, and more

· Access to all player videos in our database

· View all statistics/metrics on player profiles from showcase/events that are applicable

· Access specific scout notes (coming soon)

· Ability to like and comment on The Line

Parent/Coach/Fan

Parents, coaches and fans are welcomed under the Parent/Coach/Fan membership. Simply select "Join" in the menu tab and "Join Today" under the Scout section. You'll be taken to another screen to select monthly or yearly subscription option. Please email web@fivetool.org if you encounter any issues.

Parent/Coach/Fan gets access to the following:

· Customizable feed by following players, events, high schools, colleges, and more

· Access to all player videos in our database

· View all statistics/metrics on player profiles from showcase/events that are applicable

· Access specific scout notes (coming soon)

· Ability to like and comment on The Line

More Features

The new Five Tool website also has different sections on the main page.

When landing, you'll notice the carousel with the latest news and featured news. There's also the following:

· Uncommitted Spotlight — player profiles of staff-picked players to be featured

· Latest Commits — player profiles of the latest commitments by date

· Trending Players — player profiles with the most views

· Trending High Schools — high school pages with the most views

· Trending Colleges — college pages with the most views

· Trending Teams — club team pages with the most views

· Upcoming Events —a look at what events we have ahead

The Five Tool regions which are broken down by players and events

In the menu, you'll notice the following:

· Region — access to feeds on specific regions by player and by event

· Events — access to our individual showcases (coming soon) and team events to register

· News — access to the latest news from Five Tool

· Leaderboard — access to the top players from our recent individual showcases

· College — access to our college database with specific college pages

· High School — access to our high school database with specific high school pages

· Travel Teams — access to our travel team database with specific travel team pages

· Podcast — access to our Five Tool Podcast
