Texas State

San Antonio Angels 17U defeated Brazos River Wranglers, 3-0, in Game 1 from Texas State. Angels’ Chandler Eaton threw seven scoreless innings allowing five hits and striking out five. Eaton was named pitcher of the game. Angels’ Evan Perez went 2-3 with one ground rule double and one RBI on his way to hitter of the game. Angels’ Luis Hernandez went 2-3 and Garrett Wilkerson went 1-2 with one double and one RBI.

Clutch Athletics 2018 defeated THZ Academy 17U, 5-3, in Game 2 from Texas State. Athletics’ Johnny Hoyle pitched all seven innings allowing just three hits and two earned runs. Hoyle struck out six batters and picked up the win en route to being named pitcher of the game. Athletics’ Brett Baty was named hitter of the game. Baty went 2-3 with one triple and two runs batted in. You can watch his triple in the video below. Matthew Maldonado was 2-3 with one double, one RBI, and one run scored in the winning effort. THZ’s Luke Richter went 1-2 with one double and two runs batted in. On the mound, THZ’s Justin Rumley pitched five innings allowing five hits and two earned runs while striking out six hitters.

Clutch Athletics 2018 defeated San Antonio Kings, 8-6, in Game 3 at Texas State. Brittan Howeth led the charge for the Athletics going 2-3 with one home run, one double and three runs batted in. Howeth also had a nice diving catch in left field (see below) and was named player of the game. The Athletics’ Reed Beverly also had a solid day at the plate going 2-3 with two doubles, three runs batted in, and one run scored. Beverly was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Athletics’ Matthew Maldonado threw five innings and only allowed one earned run while striking out five and was named pitcher of the game. Kings were led at the plate by Jake Gahan (2-3 with one RBI), CJ Horn (1-2 with one double and one RBI) and Cade Galvan (2-3 with one RBI). On the mound, Zach Deleon struck out five hitters in four innings pitched.

Woodlands Express 2017 defeated Brazos River Wranglers 2017, 6-1, in Game 4 at Texas State. Express’ Blake Hastings pitched six innings allowing three hits and no earned runs while striking out six. Hastings was named pitcher of the game. Dillon Nesbit led the Express at the plate going 3-3 with one double, one RBI, and one run scored en route to being named hitter of the game. Also to note, Nathan Letien went 2-3 with one run and Tyler Davis went 3-4 with one triple and one run batted in.

Texas Lutheran

In Game 1 at Texas Lutheran, San Antonio Kings defeated San Antonio Angels 16U, 13-1. For the Kings, CJ Horn went 2-4 with one double and one run scored. Josh Fernandez went 3-4 with two triples, two runs batted in and three runs scored on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Brady Delgado threw four innings striking out two. He gave up one run and was named pitcher of the game. Also to note from this game, Angels catcher Julian Martinez made a strong throw to third to catch a runner stealing which you can watch in the video below.

Woodlands Express 2017 defeated San Antonio Angels 16U, 11-8, in Game 2 at Texas Lutheran. Three hitters did the most damage for Woodlands: Rey Chapa, Dillon Nesbit and Kyle Conley. Chapa went 3-3 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Nesbit went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. And Conley went 3-4 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. The trio were named hitters of the game and you can check them out below.

In Game 3 at Texas Lutheran, Dallas Dodgers 17 Black defeated San Antonio Angels 17U, 6-4. Nick Hamel went 2-3 with one double and two runs batted in. Alex Moore went 2-4 with an RBI and run scored on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Kyler Duerson threw six innings and struck out four. Duerson was named pitcher of the game.

Dallas Dodgers 17 Black defeated THZ Academy 2017, 7-3, in Game 4 at Texas Lutheran. Dodgers’ Boone Montgomery was named pitcher of the game and threw all seven innings allowing three hits and one earned run while striking out five hitters. At the plate, Carson Bradley (2-3 with one double, one RBI, one run, and one stolen base), Joseph Leal (2-3 with one double, two runs, and one stolen base) and Michael Vangundy (2-3, one double and two runs batted it) led the way for Dallas Dodgers 17 Black. Bradley, Leal, and Vangundy were all named co-hitters of the game.

Southwestern

In Game 1 at Southwestern, LBA Smith defeated Austin Boom, 8-6. Boom’s Blake Webster went 1-3 with one double. LBA’s Tyler Williams went 2-2 with one double. Hitters of the game were Ryan Grantham and Hayden VanderRoest. Grantham went 2-3 with three runs batted in. VanderRoest went 1-3 with one double and three runs batted in (check out his swing below).

In Game 2 at Southwestern, Texas Warriors 15U defeated THZ Academy 16U, 13-2. For the Warriors, Samuel Muir went 1-3 with one double. Dylan Redmond went 2-3 with one double and one RBI on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Juan Chavez threw five innings striking out three and was named pitcher of the game.

Amarillo Titans defeated Rebels Nation, 5-1, in Game 3 at Southwestern. Rebels’ Dylan Kim went 1-2 with an RBI and one stolen base. Titans’ Jacob Bartlett went 1-1 with two runs batted in and was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Zane Sparks threw seven innings striking out just as many (7) on his way to pitcher of the game.

In Game 4 at Southwestern, Texas Warriors 15U defeated Rebels Nation, 14-4. Wesley Gafford went 3-3 with one triple, one double and three runs batted in. Samuel Muir went 3-3 with one double and two runs batted in. Both Gafford and Muir were named hitters of the game. On the mound, Caden Walton threw three innings and struck out three. He gave up one hit on his way to pitcher of the game.

Lago Vista HS

In Game 1 at Lago Vista HS, Clutch Athletics 2019 defeated Action Baseball 15U White, 14-4. Jake Cox went 3-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Braden Wallace went 1-2 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. Nicolas Ramirez went 2-3 with one double, three runs batted in and two runs scored on his way to hitter of the game. And on the mound, Nathan Koch threw six innings striking out four on his way to the win. He was named pitcher of the game.

In Game 2 at Lago Vista, Houston Athletics 2018 defeated Action Baseball 15U White, 10-0. Parker Deleon went 1-3 with one home run and two runs scored. Dylan Whitehurst went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. Michael Rosario went 2-3 with one run. Hitter of the game was Justin Silva who went 2-3 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. Pitcher of the game was Gabriel Gonzales who threw five one-hit innings and struck out five. In Game 3 at Lago Vista, Clutch Athletics 2019 defeated LBA Smith, 11-9. For LBA, Tyler Wade went 2-2 with two doubles and two runs scored. Karter Keling went 3-3 with one run scored. For Clutch, Aidan Seligman went 3-3 with one double and two runs scored. Carter Schmersahl went 1-2 with one home run and four runs batted in. Both Seligman and Schmersahl were named hitters of the game.

Houston Athletics 2018 defeated Austin Boom, 10-0, in Game 4 at Lago Vista. Parker Deleon went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one stolen base. David Perez went 3-3 with one RBI. Jacob Towber and Drew Decker were named players of the game. Towber went 2-3 with one triple, three runs batted in and two runs scored. Decker went 1-2 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Pitcher of the game was Kolton Fowler who threw five two-hit innings and struck out just as many (5).

Dallas Dodgers 17 Black defeated San Antonio Angels 16U, 10-7, in Game 1 at Lago Vista. Boone Montgomery went 3-4 with two doubles, one RBI, and two runs scored. Alex Moore went 4-4 with one RBI, one run, and one stole base. Montgomery and Moore were named co-hitters of the game. Zach Palumbo reached base every time he stepped to the plate going 2-2 with one RBI and one run scored.

In Game 2 at Lago Vista, THZ Academy 2017 defeated DBAT Schkade, 8-6. THZ’s Luke Richter went 2-4 with one RBI. Camryn Nutt went 2-3 with two runs scored. And Hayden Ball went 1-2 with one double, two runs batted in and two runs scored. Ball was named hitter of the game.

In Game 3 at Lago Vista, San Antonio Angels 17U defeated Clutch Athletics 2018, 12-4. Chandler Eaton went 3-4 with one triple, two runs batted and one run scored. Evan Perez went 2-3 with one home run, four runs batted in and one run scored on his way to hitter of the game. On the mound, Jack Wisniewski threw 3.1 innings and struck out four. He gave up three hits and one earned run on his way to pitcher of the game.

In Game 4 at Lago Vista, San Antonio Kings defeated Brazos River Wranglers, 7-2. Zach Vooletich reached base all three times (one by error) and went 2-3 with three runs scored. Chance Goins went 2-3 with two runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Pitcher of the game was Cal Caver who threw six innings striking out three on his way to the W.

Southwestern

In Game 1 at Southwestern, Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon defeated San Antonio Kings, 3-0. Premier’s Matthew Swick struck out five hitters and allowed zero runs over 6.1 innings en route to the win and being named pitcher of the game. Premier’s Elijah Strang went 1-3 with one triple and two runs batted in and was named hitter of the game. Also to note, Kings’ CJ Horn had a nice day at the plate going 2-3 with two doubles.

In Game 2 at Southwestern, Woodlands Express 2017 defeated Cooperstown Cobras, 6-2. For the Express, Tyler Davis went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. Kyle Conley went 2-3 with one RBI and was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Kyle Finster threw 4.1 innings and struck out two. He allowed no earned runs and was named pitcher of the game.

Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon defeated Dallas Dodgers 17 Black, 5-3, in Game 3 at Southwestern. Connor Elliot pitched six innings allowing just two earned runs and striking out four. Elliot was named pitcher of the game. Elijah Strang went 3-4 with two runs batted in and three stolen bases. See one of his hits below. Sean Koon went 3-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Strang and Koon were named hitters of the game. James Ortiz had outstanding plays at shortstop and was named defensive player of the game. Other contributors were Zachary McAdams (1-4 with one double, one RBI, and one run) and Kyle McShaffry (1-4 with one double, one RBI, and one scored).

LBA Smith defeated Texas Sun Devils, 10-3, in Game 4 at Southwestern. Ryan Grantham went 2-4 with one RBI. Hitter of the game was Tyler Wade who went 2-4 with one double and five runs batted in. Pitcher of the game was Guadalupe “Isaac” Madrid who threw seven innings striking out five on his way to the W.

Texas Lutheran

In Game 1 at Texas Lutheran, Texas Sun Devils defeated Rebels Nation, 5-1. For the Sun Devils, Michael Fordam had a big two-run single which you can check out below. Ben Greer hit a triple and stole a base. Matthew Guyton went 2-4 with one run and two stolen bases. Austin Epps went 2-3 with one RBI. Both Guyton and Epps were named hitters of the game. On the mound, Kyle Storemski threw five two-hit innings striking out six and giving up one earned run on his way to pitcher of the game.

Game 2 at Texas Lutheran ended in a 5-5 tie between THZ Academy 2018 and Amarillo Titans 2018. For THZ, Jackson Rogers went 1-2 with two runs batted in, one stolen base, and two runs scored. For the Titans, Bret Gilbert went 2-2 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. Jacob Bartlett went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in and one stolen base. Both Gilbert and Bartlett were named hitters of the game. And on the mound, Brett Williams threw five innings and struck out eight. He gave up four earned runs and was named pitcher of the game.

In Game 3 at Texas Lutheran, Lubbock Raiders defeated Austin Boom, 12-8. For the Raiders, Riley Robinson went 2-3 with two runs batted in, one stolen base, and two runs scored. Caylor Dannevik went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Luke Pfeiffer went 2-3 with one run scored. Boom’s Denton Apple went 1-2 with two runs batted in, one stolen base and one run scored. Hitters of the game were Boom’s Peyton Klam and Blake Webster as well as Lubbock’s Landry Watson. Klam went 3-4 with two runs scored. Webster went 2-4 with two doubles, two runs batted in and one run scored. And Watson went 2-3 with two doubles and one run scored.

In Game 4 at Texas Lutheran, Lubbock Raiders defeated Rebels Nation, 13-8. For the Raiders, Trey Stephens went 1-3 with one double. Ben Greer went 1-3 with one triple (see below) and a run scored. Hitters of the game were Jett Whitfield and Caylor Dannevik. Whitfield went 2-4 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Dannevik went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Cooperstown Cobras defeated DBAT Robertson, 12-1, in Game 5 at Texas Lutheran. Bryson Wrobel went 3-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Colby Seltzer went 3-3 with one double and three runs scored. Both Wrobel and Seltzer were named hitters of the game. And on the mound, Preston Edison threw five innings striking out six. He gave up three hits and one run on the way to pitcher of the game.

Texas State

Premier Baseball Futures 16U Nixon defeated Houston Athletics 2018, 5-3, in Game 1 at Texas State. Blake Wilson threw five scoreless innings allowing just three hits and striking out three for Premier. He was named pitcher of the game. Athletics’ Blake Cappadona (2-3 with two doubles) and Premier’s Diego Moore (2-4 with one double, two runs batted in, and one run scored) were named hitters of the game. Other contributors were Athletics’ Cole McMillan (1-2 with one triple and one run), Premier’s Jackson Sutter (2-4 with one double and one run) and Premier’s Cooper McCarley (1-2 with one double and two runs batted in).

In Game 2 at Texas State, Action Baseball 15U White defeated Dallas Dodgers 16 Black, 2-0. John Wyatt Cheney went 1-2 with one double (which you can see below) and two runs batted in. Cheney also picked up the save striking out all four batters he faced in 1.1 innings pitched. Cheney was named player of the game. Action’s Dylan Sevino pitched 5.2 scoreless innings allowing just four hits. Dodgers’ Matt Halverson threw all six innings allowing just three hits and one earned run while striking out six. Sevino and Halverson were named pitchers of the game.

Clutch Athletics 2019 defeated Columbia Angels 2018 White, 11-3, in Game 3 at Texas State. Luke Broussard pitched five innings allowing no earned runs and six hits. Broussard also struck out three hitters and was named pitcher of the game. Braden Wallace went 2-3 with two doubles and scored one run en route to being named hitter of the game. Other key contributors for Clutch Athletics were Carter Schmersahl (2-4 with one double and two runs batted in), Nicholas Ramirez (1-3 with one RBI and two runs scored) and Jake Cox (1-2 with one double, two runs batted in, and one run scored).

Ty Thacker went 2-3 with one double, one RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Stanford and Thacker were named hitters of the game. Other hitters to note were Trent Golson who went 1-3 with two runs batted in, one stolen base, and one run scored and Greyson Melton who went 1-1 with one double and one RBI.

In Game 5 at Texas State, Texas Warriors 15U shutout Amarillo Titans behind the arm and bat of Wesley Gafford. The player of the game went 2-2 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored while at the plate. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher threw five innings striking out nine and giving up four hits. Hitters of the game were Joseph Couey and Caleb Diaz. Couey went 2-2 with one triple, double, two runs batted in, and one run scored. Diaz also went 2-3 with one triple, double, and had two runs batted in with one run scored. Also to note, Cooper Wilson went 2-2 with one RBI and two runs scored. And Sam Muir went 1-1 with a double and he scored twice.

Corbin Langhan went 2-3 with one RBI, one run scored and a great leaping catch at SS (see below). For Lubbock, Jett Whitfield went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Riley Robinson went 2-3 with one run scored. Hitter of the game was Titans’ Kade Adkins who went 2-2 with one run scored. Player of the game was Carson Altman who threw seven innings and struck out three on his way to the victory. He was also 1-2 at the plate with two runs scored.

Dallas Dodgers 16 Black defeated Premier Baseball Futures 16U Nixon, 6-5, in Game 2 at Southwestern. For Premier, Trent Golson went 1-3 with one triple and one RBI. Jackson Sutter went 1-3 with one double and one run scored. For the Dodgers, Will Parker went 2-3 with one double and one run scored. Game Dato went 1-2 with one double and one RBI. Hitters of the game were Cason Carte and Austin Liu. Carte went 3-3 with three runs scored. Liu went 1-2 with one triple and two runs batted in. And on the mound, Dalton Black threw six innings striking out two and giving up two earned runs. Black was named pitcher of the game.

In Game 3 at Southwestern, Dallas Dodgers 16 Black defeated Clutch Athletics 2019, 8-6. For Clutch, Ryan Davenport went 2-3 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored. Ausin Liu went 2-4 with one run scored. Abdiel Rodriguez went 2-2 with two runs scored and picked up hitter of the game. On the mound, Cason Carte threw six innings and gave up two runs picking up the victory on his way to pitcher of the game.

In Game 4 at Southwestern, Columbia Angels 2018 White defeated Action Baseball 15U White, 8-3. Action’s Dylan Savino went 2-4 with one home run. Angels’ Brendan Cumming went 2-4 with three runs scored. Savino and Cumming were named hitters of the game. On the mound, Angels’ Trhea Morse threw five innings allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out five hitters. Action’s Bryson Bales threw 4.1 scoreless innings allowing just one hit and striking out four. Morse and Bales were named pitchers of the game. Other solid performances came from Angels’ Cotton Rosco (2-3 with two runs), Action’s Sean Swain (1-2 with two runs) and Clayton Mahaffey (two great diving catches at third base).

Smithson Valley HS

San Antonio Angels 17U defeated THZ Academy 2017, 5-2, in Game 1 at Smithson Valley. For THZ, Camryn Nutt went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. For the Angels, Mason Corbett went 1-3 with one double and one run scored. Jordan Billups went 2-3 with one double, one home run (see below), four runs batted in, and two runs scored. Billups was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Nick Hamel threw all seven innings striking out five. He allowed one earned run on his way to pitcher of the game.

In Game 2 at Smithson Valley, Texas Sun Devils defeated THZ Academy 2018, 16-4. Michael Fordham went 3-4 with one double (see below), four runs batted in and three runs at the plate. Co-hitter of the game was Nick Martinez who went 2-3 with one triple, one double, three runs batted in, and three runs scored. The other co-hitter of the game was Brooks Kelley who went 3-4 with two doubles. He also had two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Texas Warriors 15U defeated Austin Boom, 9-4, in Game 3 at Smithson Valley. Juan “Pappas” Chavez went 2-3 with two doubles and four runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Kimble Schuessler went 2-3 with one double and two runs scored. Wesley Gafford went 1-2 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. Cooper Wilson went 1-2 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. And Joseph Couey went 1-2 with one double, two runs batted in and one run scored.

Vito Prieto went 2-2 with three runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. And on the mound, Tyler Williams threw all seven innings and struck out one. Texas Lutheran

Game 1 at Texas Lutheran ended in a 3-3 tie between Houston Athletics 2018 and Woodlands Express 2017. In the 7th inning, Express CF Nathan Letien came up with a diving catch and threw out the runner at home to keep the score tied (see below). At the plate, he went 2-3 with one RBI and was named co-hitter of the game. For the A’s Blake Cappadona went 3-3 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored. Cappadona was the other co-hitter of the game.

In Game 2 at Texas Lutheran, Clutch Athletics 2018 shutout Brazos River Wranglers, 7-0, behind the arm of Jacob Trantham. The starting pitcher went all seven innings giving up four hits and striking out two batters. Trantham was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, Matthew Maldonado went 1-2 with one RBI and one run scored. And Zach Robert went 1-2 with one double and three runs batted in. Robert was named hitter of the game. Also to note, Izaiah Faz made two great catches in left field by tracking down the baseball. Watch his first nice play in the video below:

A battle of the pitchers resulted in a 1-1 tie for Game 3 at Texas Lutheran between San Antonio Kings and DBAT Schkade. Kings LHP Jaydan Martinez threw seven innings striking out one and giving up four hits. He walked one batter and gave up no earned runs. DBAT RHP Ryan Walls threw seven innings as well striking out two. He walked two batters and gave up one earned run. Both Martinez and Walls were named players of the game.

DBAT Robertson defeated Brazos River Wranglers, 14-4, in Game 4 at Texas Lutheran. Heston Kjerstad went 1-3 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. Josh Thurman went 2-4 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored on his way to hitter of the game. Pitcher of the game was Chandler Kramer who threw one inning and struck out one. He also went 1-1 at the plate with an RBI single.

Texas State

In Game 1 at DBAT Robertson defeated DBAT Schkade, 9-6. For Schkade, Diego Muniz went 1-3 with a home run and three runs batted in. Patrick Miner threw four innings striking out five and giving up four hits and two runs. For Robertson, Luke Scaggs came in relief to get the win. He threw three two-hit innings and struck out seven. He allowed no runs on his way to pitcher of the game. On offense, Jimmy Glowenke went 3-4 with one double and two runs batted in. Braxton Fulford went 1-3 with one home run (see below) and two runs batted in. Both Glowenke and Fulford were named hitters of the game.

Jerad Mack tossed a no-hitter in Game 2 at Texas State as Rebels Nation defeated LBA Smith, 3-1. The right-handed pitcher threw all seven innings striking out just as many (7) and walking four batters. You can watch the final strikeout below. Mack was named player of the game for his dominant performance.

Game 3 at Texas State ended in a 10-9 victory for Woodlands Express 2017 over Dallas Dodgers 17 Black. For the Dodgers, Alex Moore went 3-3 with one triple, one double, one RBI and three runs scored. For the Express, John Beaudion went 3-3 with three doubles, three runs batted in, two stolen bases, and two runs scored. Tyler Davis went 2-3 with one triple, one double, one RBI, and two runs scored. All three were named hitters of the game.

In Game 4 at Texas State, Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon defeated Cooperstown Cobras, 4-1. Kyle McShaffry went 2-3. Zachary McAdams went 1-2 with a solo home run which you can see in the fan submitted video below. McAdams was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Blake Brogdon threw seven innings and struck out four. He gave up three hits and one run on his way to pitcher of the game.

In Game 5 at Texas State, San Antonio Angels 16U defeated Houston Athletics 2018, 3-1. Carlos Flores pitched five innings allowing just two hits and one run while striking out six. Flores picked up the win and was named pitcher of the game. His counterpart, Cole McMillan, threw four innings allowing three hits and two runs while striking out seven. Coyote Jimenez picked up the save going two scoreless innings striking out two. Jack Neely went 2-3 with one triple and two runs scored. Jake Ritchie went 1-3 with a double and the two go-ahead runs batted in. Neely and Ritchie were named hitters of the game. Other contributors were Angels’ Reid Romine (2-2 with one RBI) and Athletics’ Tony Gomez (1-2 with one RBI).

Clutch Athletics 2018 shutout DBAT Schkade, 2-0, behind the arm of Zach Robert. The Clutch starter threw a complete game two-hitter striking out three batters. He talked about his performance after the game which you can check out in the video below. Robert was named pitcher of the game. Hitter of the game was Justin Dunlap who went 2-3 with one double and two runs scored. Also to note, Robert’s counterpart Diego Muniz threw 5.1 two-hit innings. He struck out eight batters and gave up one run. Brett Lawrence went 1-2 with one triple.

In Game 2 at Southwestern, THZ Academy shutout Columbia Angels 2018 White, 2-0. Ryan Keesee threw a complete game one-hitter leading his squad to the victory. He struck out eight batters without allowing a run on his way to pitcher of the game. Backing him up was Josh Hernandez, Devin Hooper and Luke Richter. Hernandez wen 1-3 with one run scored. Hooper went 1-3 with one RBI. And Richter went 2-3 with one double, one triple and one run scored. Richter was named hitter of the game. Also to note, Columbia’s Alex Ward threw six innings and struck out five.

Cooperstown Cobras defeated DBAT Schkade, 10-8, in Game 3 at Southwestern. For DBAT, Kason Howell went 1-2 with one run scored and one stolen base. Cole Stilwell went 1-2 with one run scored. And Grayson Rodriguez went 1-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. For the Cobras, Justin Lundquist-Irvin went 3-3 with two runs batted in and three runs scored. Javier Rosa went 1-2 with three runs scored and Bryson Hill went 1-1 with two runs scored. Player of the game was Colby Seltzer who was on fire. In Game 1 at Smithson Valley, San Antonio Angels 17U defeated Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon, 3-1. For Premier, Eli Strang went 1-2 with one triple and one RBI. Mathew Swick went 2-3 with one run scored. For the Angels, Nick Hamel went 1-2 with one double and one run scored. Jordon Billups went 1-3 with a home run and was named hitter of the game. And on the mound, Luis Hernandez threw five innings and struck out three on his way to pitcher of the game.

Cooperstown Cobras outslugged San Antonio Angels 16U, 13-11, in Game 2 at Smithson Valley. For the Angels, Jace Jung went 1-2 with one home run and two runs batted in. Jake Ritchie went 1-2 with one home run and three runs batted in. For the Cobras, Justin Lundquist-Irvin went 2-4 with two runs batted in. Garrett Barnes went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in. Jacob Paytonjian went 3-4 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. And Bryson Hill went 2-3 with one double and three runs scored. Both Hill and Paytonjian were named hitters of the game.

In Game 3 at Smithson Valley, DBAT Robertson defeated Premier Baseball Futures 17U Nixon, 4-2. Heston Kjerstad went 2-4 with a home run, two runs batted in and one run scored. Noah Sifrit went 2-4 with two runs scored. Both Kjerstad and Sifrit were named hitters of the game. For Premier, Garrett Kellogg-Clarke went 1-2 with one run scored.

Texas Lutheran

Columbia Angels 2018 White defeated Texas Warriors 15U, 1-0, in Game 1 at Texas Lutheran. On the mound, Bryce Shook threw five innings and struck out four on his way to the victory. In a fine effort, losing pitcher Sam Muir threw six innings and struck out three. Both Shook and Muir were named pitchers of the game.

In Game 2 at Texas Lutheran, Premier Baseball Futures 16U Nixon defeated Action Baseball 15U White, 11-6. Hitters of the game were Blake Wilson and Kalob Bacak. Wilson went 2-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Bacak went 2-3 with one double and one run scored.

Premier Baseball Futures 16U Nixon defeated Clutch Athletics 2019, 2-1, in Game 3 at Texas Lutheran. Blake Wilson went all seven innings striking out three. He gave up four hits and one run on his way to pitcher of the game. Wilson also went 1-2 with two runs batted in at the plate. Hitter of the game was Luke Broussard who went 2-2.

Texas State

In Game 1 at Texas State, Lubbock Raiders defeated Texas Sun Devils, 8-3. For the Sun Devils, Nick Martinez stayed hot at the plate (Dude of the Day on Saturday) going 3-4 with one run scored. For the Raiders, Cameron Stevenson went 2-3 with one triple and two runs batted in. Caden Hensley went 2-2 with one double and two runs batted in. Both Stevenson and Hensley were named hitters of the game. And on the mound, Trey Stephens went the distance (7 innings) and struck out two batters on his way to pitcher of the game.

Lubbock Raiders shutout THZ Academy 2018, 10-0, behind the arm of Caylor Dannevik in Game 2 at Texas State. The righty threw six innings and struck out nine batters. He gave up two hits on his way to pitcher of the game. Listen to him talk about his performance in the video below. Hitters of the game were Riley Robinson, Caden Hensley and Hayden Frick. Robinson went 3-3 with one double, two runs batted in, one stolen base and one run scored. Hensley went 2-3 with two doubles and two runs scored. And Frick went 2-3 with two runs batted in, one stolen base and one run scored.

In Game 3 at Texas State, Austin Boom defeated Texas Sun Devils, 7-6. For the Boom, Coy Fullmer went 2-3 with one triple. Drew Nelson went 2-2 with one double, three runs batted in and one run scored. And for the Sun Devils, Nick Martinez went 3-4 with one double and one RBI. Nelson and Martinez were named hitters of the game.

In Game 4 at Texas State, Dallas Dodgers 16 Black defeated THZ Academy 2018, 3-2. Gabriel Dato came in the second inning to replace an injured starting pitcher and he went five innings of one-hit baseball striking out three to get the win. Date was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, Anthony Villalobos went 1-3 with one triple and two runs batted in. He was named hitter of the game. Also to note, THZ’s Skylar Robinson threw all seven innings and struck out three batters in defeat.

Futures Game

Alex Bregman, friend of Five Tool, was a home run short of the cycle in the MiLB Futures Game. He went 3-5 with a triple, double and one run scored. Check out all three hits in the video below:
