Game Stories: Five Tool Utah World Series Qualifier (Sunday, June 20)

Fremont High School

In Game 1 from Fremont High School, 208 Bombers defeated Rock Canyon Smith, 16-3. Player of the game was Carter Stephenson who went 2-3 with two doubles, three runs batted in and three runs scored. Pitcher of the game was Daniel Kormylo who struck out six over five scoreless. Also to note, Harris Lambert went 2-3 with one double, three runs batted in and two runs scored. 

In Game 2 from Fremont High School, Idaho Bandits defeated Lobos Baseball Club 16U, 8-3. Player of the game was Dax Whitney who struck out five over five and two-thirds. Also to note, Garret Jones went 3-3 with one double and one run scored. 

In Game 3 from Fremont High School, Idaho Bandits defeated 208 Bombers, 21-17. Player of the game was Bandits’ Ryan Reynolds who went 4-5 with four runs batted in. 

Serge Simmons

In Game 1 from Serge Simmons, 18U MBA Nevada defeated Clearfield B’s, 17-1. Player of the game was MBA’s Brady Ballinger who went 3-3 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Pitcher of the game was Luka Brancato who struck out five over five. 

In Game 2 from Serge Simmons, Idaho Falls Bandits 18U defeated Lobos Baseball Club 18U, 9-4. Player of the game was Bradley Thompson who allowed two earned runs over six. Thompson was also 2-3. Also to note, Bridger Clontz went 2-3 with one triple and one RBI. Calvin Morrow went 2-4 with three runs batted in and one run scored. 

In Game 3 from Serge Simmons, Idaho Falls Bandits 18U blanked 18U MBA Nevada, 15-0. Player of the game was Nate Rose who allowed zero earned runs over five. Rose also went 2-4 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. Hitter of the game was McGwire Jephson who went 3-4 with one double, one triple, one RBI and two runs scored.
