Registration is now open for the Scout Trials by Five Tool and 2D Sports, an individual workout event for prospects to perform and test their skills.
The Scout Trials will be hosted in Dallas and Houston on five separate dates this Summer. Prospects will have their speed tested with laser 60s and home to first base timing, their velocities recorded throwing from their respective positions, and will get to show off their bats with on-field Rapsodo-tested batting practice. Catchers will also get their POP times recorded.

2Dsports will lead in the operation of this combine-style workout catered to the top area prospects. Top performers will be highlighted on the Five Tool social media accounts and website. All prospect data is hosted on the new SportEvals platform where players can share their digital profiles to college coaches and scouts at the end of the Scout Trials.
The colleges and scouts will be welcomed to the attend Scout Trials to evaluate prospects. The 2018 Scout Trials will be hosted prior to specific Five Tool Tournaments which can draw 60-plus professional and college scouts to summer events. A total of 171 MLB and college scouts were in attendance for Five Tool events in 2017.
