Game Stories: Five Tool Texas Summer Classic Satellite Series (Friday, July 17)

Anna HS

In Game 1 from Anna HS, North Texas Longhorns Buckner outlasted Frozen Ropes Ausmus, 4-3. Tate Bethel was named player of the game after going 2-4. Bethel scored twice to lead the way for the longhorns. Also to note, Kyle Stanners added a hit and an RBI.

In Game 2 from Anna HS, NTXBC Dirtbags Woods bested Midland Baseball Academy 17/18U, 3-2. Barrett Bolin was named player of the game after an excellent outing on the rubber. Bolin tossed a complete game and struck out seven on the afternoon. Also to note, Geoff Marlow added a hit and an RBI.

In Game 3 from Anna HS, DBAT Elite Spencer 15U and Texas Desperados Walton, 11-11. Carson Priebe was named player of the game after going 2-4 with a double and a home run. Priebe totaled three RBI and scored twice. Also to note, Brett Lanman was 3-4 with a double and two runs.

In Game 4 from Anna HS, Texas Desperados Walton topped BN Fury Elite Ladd, 9-2. Zane Morgan was named player of the game after going 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Also to note, Kade Morgan was 2-2 with a triple and an RBI.

Z-Plex Bishop

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Bishop, Midland Baseball Academy 16U Black  outmatched Players Only McGruder, 15-5. Xavier Melendez had a big morning at the plate and was named player of the game. Melendez was 2-4 with a double, triple, and two RBI, Ethan Howell swung the bat well as he tacked on an RBI and recorded two hits. Billy Baer reached base three times and totaled three RBI. Also to note, Matt Santos was 2-2 with a double and an RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Bishop, TCR Bobcats bested Frisco Riders, 7-6. Cade Carlson was named player of the game after going 2-2 with a triple and two RBI. Aeden Barron was 1-2 with two RBI and JB Watson was 2-3 with an RBI. Also to note, Graham Mayfield was 1-1 with a double and a walk.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Bishop, NTXBC Dirtbags Sedberry defeated TCR Bobcats, 14-1. Ethan Nawrocki continued a good weekend at the plate and was named player of the game. Nawrocki was 2-2 with three RBI, three runs scored, and two walks. Also to note, Cooper Ostrowsky drove in four runs and scored twice to help lead the way for the Dirtbags.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Bishop, 5 Star Performance Texas bested NTXBC Dirtbags Allerheiligen, 4-1. Caleb Jameson was named player of the game after allowing only one run on three hits. Jameson struck out two in six innings of work. Britt King was 1-4 with a triple and an RBI. Also to note, Nolan Bushko was 1-2 with an RBI.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Bishop, 16U Phenom Texas topped NTXBC Dirtbags Allerheiligen, 7-1. Kai Paul continued to swing a hot bat and was named player of the game. Paul was 3-3 with two RBI. Logan Cheng had a nice night at the dish as he tallied two hits and scored twice. Dawson Turrell looked good on the mound as he struck out one in five innings of work. Also to note, Zach Abell was 1-2 with a double.

In Game 6 from Z-Plex Bishop, 16U Phenom Texas blanked DBAT Elite Chancellor, 12-0. Landan Morse was named player of the game after a nice game at the dish. Morse tallied a double and tacked on three RBI.

Z-Plex Hogan

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Hogan, Impact Baseball Club Worley topped Academy Select 2022 Woytek/Lytle, 10-4. Peyton Smith had a great morning at the plate and took home player of the game honors. Smith was 2-3 with three RBI and scored twice. Trey Rowe continued his hot weekend at the plate as he tallied two doubles and an RBI. Also to note, Tyson Drake was 2-4 with three runs scored and a stolen base.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Hogan, Dallas Mustangs Holt bested Stix 2022 South Black, 8-6. Matthew Witt was named player of the game after notching a double and three RBI. Also to note, Aiken Owens was 2-3 with a double and two runs scored.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Hogan, USA Prime American 2022 outmatched Prime Cavemen Muñoz 16U, 10-4. Brady Cunningham was named player of the game after going 2-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Hayden Flynn looked good at the plate as he tallied two hits and an RBI. Also to note, Mason Garcia went 3-3 with an RBI.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Hogan, Stix 2022 South Black blanked Prime Cavemen Muñoz 16U, 12-0. Cade Smith was named player of the game after striking out four in five innings of work. Also to note, Max Towchik continued a great weekend as he tallied a double, five RBI, and a stolen base to lead the way at the plate.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Hogan, Dallas Spin Baseball defeated Tri County Baseball, 5-2. Mason Wujek was named player of the game after allowing only one hit and striking out six in four innings of work. Also to note, Mason Priebe was named hitter of the game after ripping a double and notching two RBI.

In Game 6 from Z-Plex Hogan, Dallas Pelicans Tovar outmatched Dallas Spin Baseball, 9-1. Stetson Callaway was electric on the mound and earned player of the game. Callaway did not allow a hit and struck out five in three innings of work. Brett Foss was named hitter of the game after going 2-2 with two walks and three runs scored. Also to note, Tre Crimmins was 2-3 with two RBI and a walk.

Z-Plex Judson

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Judson, Wilkinson Academy Cardinals defeated NTXBC Dirtbags 17U Sosa, 8-3. Reid Saxon was named player of the game after going 1-3 with a home run and three RBI. Grayson West looked good at the plate as he went 2-2 with a double and two runs scored. Michael Murray kept the Dirtbags bats quiet as he allowed only three hits in four innings of work. Also to note, Ryan Hampton was 2-2 with a double and an RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Judson, PitchMan Baseball 18U bested Dulin’s Dodgers Dykes, 9-1. Noah Ochoa was named player of the game after blasting a home run and two RBI. Malachi Garcia was named pitcher of the game after striking out four in four innings of work. Ethan Ramirez also blasted a home run and scored three runs. Also to note, Kayl Ratliff was 2-2 with a double and two RBI.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Judson, USA Prime Cavemen Watkins outlasted Canes Southwest Mayo 2021, 10-6. Jeremiah Fultz was named player of the game after a big day at the plate. Fultz was 2-3 with a triple, an RBI, and two stolen bases. Also to note, Brock Cooper, Spencer Alexander, and Keller Thompson all tallied two hits for the Canes.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Judson, Huntsville Thunder defeated Pro Source 17U, 10-5. Michael Jeske was named player of the game after tallying two RBI at the plate. Christian Milum was 1-1 with an RBI and two runs. Also to note, Zach Ledbetter was 1-2 with two RBI and a walk.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Judson, MVP Baseball Hutto outmatched Indios Baseball 16U Darland, 10-3. Andrew Ender was named player of the game after going 2-3 and driving in two runs. Aidon Alvarez was named pitcher of the game after a stellar outing on the mound. Alvarez struck out eight in 3.1 innings of work. Christopher Gaidstick tallied a double and walked twice. Also to note, Tobias Matin was 2-3 with a double and an RBI.

In Game 6 from Z-Plex Judson, Tri County Baseball blanked Indios Baseball 16U Darland, 9-0. Colton Deckhard had a big night at the dish and was named player of the game. Deckhard was 2-2 with an RBI.  On the mound, Deckhard racked up nine punchouts in five scoreless innings of work. Brody Allsbrooks and Tre Jackson each took home a share of hitter of the game. Allsbrooks was 3-3 with an RBI while Jackson tallied a triple and three RBI. Reese Frantom added two hits for Indios Baseball. Also to note, Michael Dale Williams was 1-1 with a triple and a walk.

Z-Plex Williams

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Williams, 18U Ropes Florence defeated Waco Storm, 7-4. Zach Henry was named player of the game after showing out at the dish. Henry was 2-2 with a home run and an RBI. Keagan Wolfe and Chase Arnard each blasted home runs on the morning as well. Also to note, Bear Brewer was 2-3 with a double and two RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Williams, NTX Elite McCrummen topped Waco Storm, 6-2. Luke Bumpus was named player of the game after going 2-3 at the dish. Bumpus tallied a double and drove in two runs. Also to note, Luke Wiseman was dominant on the mound and earned pitcher of the game. Wiseman allowed only one hit and struck out two.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Williams, Thrive Haugen outmatched Dallas Patriots 2021 Senato, 13-4. Hank Warren was named player of the game after a 2-3 afternoon at the plate. Warren collected a double and drove in three runs. Chase Brown looked good at the dish as he tallied two doubles and an RBI. Also to note, Luke Heefner was 1-2 with two RBI and two runs scored.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Williams, Dallas Mustangs Holt outlasted USA Prime American 2022, 4-3. Jake White did a little bit of everything and was named player of the game. White tallied a walk off hit with an RBI. Also to note, Matthew Witt was 2-2 with an RBI and a run.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Williams, Dallas Tigers Ethridge bested Stix 2023 South Black, 7-6. Colby Porter did a little bit of everything and was named player of the game. Porter launched a home run and also struck out five in two innings of work on the mound. Also to note, Taylor Valerius was 1-2 with a triple and three RBI.

Zadow Park

In Game 1 from Zadow Park, Dallas Tigers 16U Hernandez defeated North Texas Longhorns Phillips, 6-2. Jake Storey was named player of the game after a solid performance on the mound. Storey surrendered two runs on six hits and struck out six in five innings of work. Also to note, Austin Miller was named hitter of the game after going 2-3 with a double and scoring three runs for the Tigers.

In Game 2 from Zadow Park, NTXBC Dirtbags 16U Hansen blanked Midland Baseball Academy 16U Navy, 4-0. Dylan Turner was named player of the game after tossing six scoreless innings. Turner allowed only four hits and struck out three. Also to note, Jack Curtis earned hitter of the game after going 1-1 with a home run and two RBI.

In Game 3 from Zadow Park, Pro Source 16U Red topped Midland Baseball Academy 16U Navy, 5-2. Trevor Bane tossed a great game on the mound and took home player of the game honors. Bane struck out six in six innings of work.

In Game 4 from Zadow Park, Academy Select Brand outlasted Dallas Tigers Micucci, 9-8. EJ Guendler was named player of the game after going 2-3 with a run scored. Also to note, Michael Duvall was 2-3 with a double.

In Game 5 from Zadow Park, Academy Select Brand and Pro Source 16U Red tied 3-3. Ian Warren was named player of the game after belting a key solo home run. Also to note, EJ Guendler was 2-2 with an RBI.
