Game Stories: Five Tool Texas Satellite World Series (Saturday, July 25)

Anna HS

In Game 1 from Anna HS, Dallas Redhawks 16U Lubojacky defeated Hooks, 6-3. Gilbert Villa impressed at the plate and was named player of the game. Villa was 1-3 with a double and an RBI. Also to note, Jude Avery notched an RBI and scored once.

In Game 2 from Anna HS, Marucci Elite Texas Little topped USA Prime 16U Lucroy, 12-4. Kyle Lewis was named player of the game after going 2-2 at the dish. Lewis ripped a triple, drove in a run, and scored twice. Also to note, Javan Hambrick struck out five in four innings of work.

In Game 3 from Anna HS, Marucci Elite Texas Little bested NTXBC Dirtbags Sedberry, 6-4. Eric Urrutia was lights out on the mound and earned player of the game. Urrutia racked up 11 strikeouts and tossed a complete game. Also to note, Kyle Lewis was 2-2 with a triple and two RBI.

In Game 4 from Anna HS, WTX Ropes 16U outmatched Dallas Tigers Felts, 14-2. Cam Shields was named player of the game after going 2-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Also to note, Ethan Curbo was 2-4 with three RBI and a run scored.

In Game 5 from Anna HS, DBAT Elite Smith 15U topped Dallas Nationals 16U, 11-1. Ben Tryon earned player of the game after continuing an impressive weekend at the plate. Tryon was 2-3 with a triple and an RBI as he led the offensive onslaught.

Gunter HS

In Game 1 from Gunter HS, Academy Select Brand outlasted DBAT Elite Court, 2-1. Christian Bates was named player of the game after his late inning heroics. Bates tallied the walk-off hit to propel ASB to victory. Bryce Farlander was lights out on the mound and was named pitcher of the game. Farlander allowed only one run on four hits and struck out nine in six innings of work. Also to note, Rhet Bleemel struck out six in 6.2 innings of work.

In Game 2 from Gunter HS, Dallas Tigers Myles toppled DBAT Elite Court, 4-2. Aiden Orr was named player of the game after a stellar outing on the mound. Orr tossed a seven inning complete game and racked up eight strikeouts.

In Game 3 from Gunter HS, Cooperstown Cobras 16U Kleckner bested Dallas Tigers Myles, 4-1. Jared Drinkwater was named player of the game after tossing a complete game. Drinkwater allowed only one run on four hits and struck out one. Also to note, Cody Brasch was named hitter of the game after going 2-3 with a double and two RBI.

In Game 4 from Gunter HS, Cooperstown Cobras 16U Kleckner blanked North Texas United, 10-0. Ryan Hulke was lights out on the mound and was named player of the game. Hulke allowed only one hit and struck out five in six innings of work. Noah Angus took home hitter of the game after going 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored.

In Game 5 from Gunter HS, NTXBC Dirtbags 15U McPike topped Stix 2023 Page, 12-5. Kelson Cotner led the Dirtbags at the plate and was named player of the game. Cotner was 2-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored in a game that featured a plethora of offensive firepower.

Old Celina HS

In Game 1 from Old Celina HS, Canes Southwest Jenkins 2023 bested Dallas Tigers Ethridge, 5-2. Gavyn Jones continued an impressive weekend and took home player of the game honors. Jones was 2-3 with a double, triple, and an RBI. Peyton Brewer was excellent on the mound as he allowed only two runs on two hits and struck out eight in five innings. Also to note, Laker McPherson struck out one and notched a two inning save.

In Game 2 from Old Celina HS, Stix 2023 South Black topped USA Prime Chamblee 2023, 10-4. Reis Rawlins put together an impressive day all around and was named player of the game. Rawlins was 3-3 with three RBI at the plate and also tossed two scoreless innings on the mound. Max Towchik impressed as he tossed two scoreless innings and went 2-4. Also to note, Gaige Hoffman was 2-4 with two RBI.

In Game 3 from Old Celina HS, BBA Titans 15U outlasted Texas Angels 2023 Johnson, 4-3. Grayson Connell was named player of the game after going 2-3 with a run scored. AJ Streater was named pitcher of the game after striking out two and allowing only one hit in 2.2 innings of work. Also to note, Ryan Chaffin struck out four in 6.1 innings of work. Chaffin allowed three earned runs on four hits in strong outing.

In Game 4 from Old Celina HS, BBA Titans 15U defeated 15U Academy Select Cruz, 11-4. Max Knight was named player of the game after going 2-5 at the dish. Knight ripped a double and drove in three runs. Dawson Buss earned pitcher of the game after allowing only one hit through three innings. Also to note, Lane Bledsoe and Grayson Connell each tallied two hits and drove in three runs.

Old Celina Park

In Game 1 from from Old Celina Park, Frisco Riders outlasted DBAT Elite Ledbettter 16U, 4-3. Graham Mayfield was lights out on the mound as he cruised through four innings of work and earned player of the game. Colby Brasuell was named hitter of the game after blasting a key solo home run. Also to note, Cole Carroll was 2-3 with a double and an RBI.

In Game 2 from Old Celina Park, TRPT Kings outmatched DBAT Elite Ledbetter 16U, 18-3. Landon Phillips had a huge afternoon at the plate and was named player of the game. Phillips was 3-3 with a triple and five RBI. Cole Lancaster swing it well as he drove in three runs and ripped two extra-base hits. RJ Pelayo also tallied two hits and drove in a run. Also to note, Logan Garcia was 3-3 with two doubles and an RBI.

In Game 3 from Old Celina Park, Dallas Spin Baseball bested Dallas Tigers Micucci, 8-4. Zach Veverka was named player of the game after impressing at the plate. Veverka was 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Also to note, Dylan Walther struck out two in two innings of work.

In Game 4 from Old Celina Park, USA Prime National 14U outlasted Impact Baseball Club Van Poppel/Gray, 10-7. Cole McCoy was named player of the game after going 2-3 with three RBI and three stolen bases. Garrett Wallace cruised through four innings and was named pitcher of the game. Luke Bajaj and Mason Arnold each tallied doubles on the afternoon. Nick Davis launched a solo home run. Also to note, Brandon Benosit was 2-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Old Denison HS

In Game 1 from Old Denison HS, Midland Baseball Academy 15U Navy outmatched DFW Twins 15U, 7-1. Josh Reed was named player of the game after a dominant outing on the mound. Reed allowed only one hit and racked up 12 strikeouts in five innings of work. Also to note, Christian Wiggins was 3-3 with two RBI at the dish.

In Game 2 from Old Denison HS, 15U Academy Select Cruz and Elite Baseball Academy Carroll tied, 9-9. Hagan Headrick was named player of the game after going 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Also to note, Kaden Gonzalez was 1-3 with two RBI.

In Game 3 from Old Denison HS, DBAT Elite 15U Jordan outmatched Texas Oilers 15U Holmes, 19-3. Jesus Pena had an enormous day at the plate and was named player of the game. Pena blasted two home runs and racked up six RBI. Also to note, Garrett De La Garza was 2-3 with a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored.

In Game 4 from Old Denison HS, Cooperstown Cobras 15U Toler defeated Texas Oilers 15U Holmes, 13-2. Andrew Grier was named player of the game after going 2-2 at the dish. Grier notched a double and drove in three runs. Also to note, Cole Barton was 2-2 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Slayter Field 3

In Game 1 from Slayter Field 3, Midway 2023 outlasted Dallas Redhawks 15U Cecil, 10-7. Jonah James was named player of the game after going 2-3 at the dish. James ripped a double and drove in two key RBI on the morning.

In Game 2 from Slayter Field 3, 15U Ropes Silva outmatched Stix 2023 Risenhoover, 14-1. Garrett Hartman continued a hot weekend at the plate and was named player of the game. Hartman was 1-1 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored, two walks, and two stolen bases as he filled up the stat sheet. Also to note, Tyler Trapp was named hitter of the game after going 2-2 with a double and four RBI.

In Game 3 from Slayter Field 3, Stix 2023 North Decker defeated Texas Angels 2023, 8-7. Ricardo Olivares was named player of the game after an impressive afternoon at the plate. Olivares was 3-4 with two doubles and three runs scored after leading the way for Stix.

In Game 4 from Slayter Field 3, Cooperstown Cobras 15U Seltzer blanked NTX Tribe Koerner, 13-0. Elijah George put on a show and was named player of the game. George struck out seven and allowed only one hit on the rubber. At the plate, George was 2-3 with two RBI and three runs scored. Also to note, Tyran Magee was 2-2 with a triple and took home hitter of the game honors.

Slayter Field 4

In Game 1 from Slayter Field 4, Cooperstown Cobras 15U Walcott topped BN Fury Elite Ladd, 6-4. Jacob Moody was named player of the game after huge morning at the plate. Moody was 2-2 with a double, home run, and three RBI. Also to note, Jack Lokensgard was 2-3 with a double and two RBI.

In Game 2 from Slayter Field 4, McKinney Marshals 15U Allen outmatched Texas Sox 15U Davis, 10-2. Sareen Patel was named player of the game after an impressive all around day. Patel struck out eight in five innings and also tallied two RBI with two stolen bases at the plate.

In Game 3 from Slayter Field 4, Canes Southwest NTX Acuna defeated Canes Southwest 15U Barras, 9-5. Sam Lake did a little bit of everything for the Canes and was named player of the game. Lake ripped a double, drove in two runs, scored twice, and stole a base.

Z-Plex Bishop

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Bishop, Stix 2021 Davenport blanked DBAT Elite Warren, 12-0. Tyler Schott was named player of the game after a huge morning at the plate. Schott was 2-2 with a double, triple, and four RBI as he led Stix 2021 Davenport’s offensive onslaught.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Bishop, McKinney Marshals 17U Davis topped NTXBC Dirtbags Woods, 8-2. Major Cantrell had a nice day at the dish and was named player of the game. Cantrell was 2-3 with a triple and two RBI as he led the way for the Marshals.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Bishop, Elite Baseball Academy Paez bested Players Only McGruder 17/18U, 11-3. Nixon Brannan continued to swing a hot bat and was named player of the game. Brannon was 2-2 with a double, four RBI, two walks, and a stolen base. Also to note, Charlie Burger earned hitter of the game after going 3-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Bishop, McKinney Marshals 18U Hadeler outlasted USA Prime Brewer, 3-1. Zach Vetal earned hitter of the game after leading the way at the plate for the Marshals. Vetal was 2-3 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. Cade Hill was named pitcher of the game after tossing a complete game and allowed only one run on four hits.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Bishop, DBAT Elite 16U Tompkins topped Dallas Tigers Polk, 11-10. Lane Allen continued an epic weekend at the plate and took home player of the game honors. Allen was 3-3 with a double, a home run, and four RBI at the plate.

Z-Plex Hogan

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Hogan, Thrive Haugen defeated Stix 2021 Capps, 4-2. Luke Gornell was named player of the game after a great performance on the mound. Gornell tossed a complete game and struck out six. Also to note, Gavin Brzozowski, Carson Hagan, and Casey Kelly all tallied a single and drove in a run.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Hogan, Pro Source 16U Black topped 16U Ropes Powell, 3-1. Carter Fields was named player of the game after a nice showing at the plate. Fields was 1-2 with two key RBI. Also to note, Austin Bagnall turned out a gutsy outing on the mound and earned pitcher of the game. Bagnall struck out four in 6.1 innings of work.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Hogan, Frozen Ropes Ausmus outlasted PitchMan Baseball 18U, 2-1. Cade Hudson was named player of the game after going 2-2 with a double and a key RBI. Andrew Ball earned pitcher of the game after tossing a complete game and striking out four. Caleb Franklin was not to be outdone as he struck out seven in six innings. Also to note, Cole Counts was 1-2 with a double an an RBI.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Hogan, DFW Twins 18U blanked Pro Source 18U, 2-0. Jake Pacheco was brilliant on the mound and was named player of the game. Pacheco tossed a two-hit complete game and racked up five strikeouts. Jackson Keefer was named hitter of the game after going 2-3 with a run scored.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Hogan, USA Prime 16U Bowing beatt Impact Baseball Club Worley, 5-2. Mason Bowring was named player of the game after going 2-4 with two RBI at the plate. Ryan Dickey was excellent on the mound and earned pitcher of the game. Dickey struck out eight in 6.2 innings of work and allowed only one earned run. Nicholas Gray swung it well as he went 3-4. Also to note, Noah Hack was 2-3 with a run scored.

Z-Plex Judson

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Judson, West Texas Flatbill 17U Brown bested Canes Southwest 2021 Berry, 4-1. Jace Owen was named player of the game after an excellent outing 0n the mound. Owen tossed a complete game and racked up six punchouts. Brayden Franco was named hitter of the game after going 1-2 with two RBI, a run scored, and two walks.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Judson, USA Prime Cypress 17U defeated USA Prime Martin, 6-3. Braeden Cannon earned player of the game after tallying a hit and driving in two runs.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Judson, Dallas Tigers Nester 17U outmatched Prime Cavemen Hughes 17U, 10-4. Tripp Hare exploded at the plate and was named player of the game. Hare was 4-4 with two doubles, a home run, and three RBI. Nick Miller was named pitcher of the game after striking out seven in six innings of work. Also to note, Lucas Terilli was 2-3 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Judson, Academy Select 2022 Woytek/Lytle topped Baseball Nation 16U Counts, 10-1. Luke Voorhies was named player of the game after going 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Brian Hallum was 2-3 with a double and two RBI as well. Also to note, Cade Keenan was 2-4 with three RBI and a run scored.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Judson, Pro Source 16U Red outlasted DBAT Elite DeLaat 16U, 7-6. Michael Holden took home player of the game after going 2-2 with two doubles, two runs, and an RBI. Also to note, Luke Naranjo was 2-3 with a double and three RBI.

Z-Plex Williams

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Williams, North Texas Longhorns Buckner outlasted NTX Elite McCrummen, 7-6. Kyle Stanners was named player of the game after going 1-2 with a double and three RBI. Also to note, Tate Bethel, Sammy Harris, and Hudson Parker all tallied an extra-base hit and drove in runs. Harris drove in two while Parker and Bethel each drove in one.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Williams, Stix 2022 Heitz topped ZT Elite NTX Gray 17U, 7-6. Christian Smith-Johnson was excellent at the plate and took home player of the game. Smith-Johnson blasted two home runs including the walk off solo shot. Landon Weidner earned hitter of the game after going 3-3 with a triple and two RBI. Nate Aguinaga and Jose Ramirez each launched home runs. Also to note, Jake Wiley and Andrew Taylor each went 2-3 with a double.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Williams, USA Prime Cavemen Watkins bested USA Prime Martin, 3-2. Cameron Rusch was named player of the game after a strong outing on the mound. Rusch racked up eight strikeouts and allowed only two runs on four hits in six innings of work. Also to note, Brandon Dickinson earned hitter of the game after going 1-3 with a key two-run home run to propel USA Prime to victory.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Williams, USA Prime Cavemen Watkins defeated DBAT Embry, 10-3. AJ Perez was named player of the game after going 3-3 with two RBI. Phillip Smith earned hitter of game after going 2-3 with a home run and two RBI. Cameron Jones was named pitcher of the game after a strong start on the mound. Jones allowed only five hits in six innings of work. Elyjah Berry swung it well as he went 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Also to note, Matthew Marsic blasted a solo home run.

In Game 5 from Z-Plex Williams, NTXBC Dirtbags 16U Hansen blanked DFW Twins 16U Anderson, 8-0. Braden Jirovec earned player of the game after doing a little bit of everything. Jirovec allowed only one hit and struck out two in 4.1 scoreless innings of work. At the plate, Jirovec was 2-3 with a triple and two RBI. Trey Brimmage was named hitter of the game after going 2-3 with a double, home run, and two RBI. Also to note, Andrew Graham belted a solo home run.

Zadow Park

In Game 1 from Zadow Park, Stix 2022 North Gregory bested Diamond Athletics Strahan, 4-1. Kyle Murphy was named player of the game after a dominant outing on the mound. Murphy allowed only one hit and struck out six in six scoreless innings of work. Also to note, Min Kang was 1-3 with two RBI.

In Game 2 from Zadow Park, Dallas Tigers DeLaGarza topped Texas Angels 2022, 6-4. Tysen McCune was named player of the game after going 2-3 at the plate. McCune drove in a run to lead the Tigers offense. Also to note, McCune shined on the mound as he struck out six in five innings of work. Rowdy Chandler added two RBI at the dish.

In Game 3 from Zadow Park, Midland Baseball Academy 16U Navy defeated North Texas Longhorns Phillips, 10-3. Eric Barnes was named player of the game after going 2-4 at the dish. Bares tallied a double and racked up five RBI. Chandler Caraway was solid on the mound and was named pitcher of the game. Caraway struck out six in six innings. Also to note, Landry Walls was 2-3 with a double and an RBI.

In Game 4 from Zadow Park, Prime Cavemen Muñoz 16U outmatched Diamond Prospects Turner, 9-1. Jason Peek was named player of the game after going 2-2 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored. Also to note, Andrew Hayden was named pitcher of the game after striking out four in five innings of work.

In Game 5 from Zadow Park, Stix 2022 Goodman bested Dallas Patriots 16U Markee, 11-4. Matthew Brandt was named player of the game after a great evening at the plate. Brandt was 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and three runs scored. Also to note, Troy Romero was 1-2 with two RBI and a run scored.
