Game Stories: Five Tool Texas DFW Classic Satellite Series (Friday, July 10)

Anna HS

In Game 1 from Anna HS, DBAT Elite Chancellor topped Dulins Dodgers Haygood, 9-2. Aidan Kuni was named player of the game after a great afternoon in the box. Kuni was 2-3 with a a key solo home run that jumpstarted DBAT Elite’s offense.

In Game 2 from Anna HS, Tribe Baseball V and NTX Elite Willingham 2023 tied, 3-3. Walker Blue provided some of the only offense of the game and was named player of the game. Blue tallied a key double and scored once.

In Game 3 from Anna HS, DFW Twins 16U Anderson bested LBC State Lindeman, 7-4. Gus Frizzell was named player of the game after a nice day at the plate. Frizzell tallied a hit and an RBI to help the Twins overcome LBC.

In Game 4 from Anna HS, USA Prime Tatusko/Parra beat North Texas United, 5-3. Jimmy Ray continued to swing a hot bat for USA Prime and was named player of the game. Ray was 3-3 with a run scored in the victory.

DKB

In Game 1 from DKB, Dallas Tigers 16U Hernandez bested USA Prime 16U Bowring, 6-3. Andrew Nester had a great morning at the dish and was named player of the game. Nester was 3-3 with a triple and two RBI as he propelled the Tigers to the win.

In Game 2 from DKB, Stix 2022 Heitz outlasted 16U Phenom Texas, 11-9. Christian Smith-Johnson picked up right where he left off last weekend and earned player of the game. Smith-Johnson was 2-3 with a double and two RBI as he led Stix to victory.

In Game 3 from DKB, DFW Twins 16U Williams defeated Dallas Patriots 16U Markee, 8-2. Zane Shiflett was named player of the game after a big afternoon at the plate. Shiflett was 2-2 with two doubles and two RBI to kickstart the Twins’ potent offense.

In Game 4 from DKB, Prime Cavemen Muñoz 16U beat LBC State Thomas, 8-1. Mason Garcia was named player of the game after a great afternoon in the box. Garcia was 2-3 with a triple and three RBI.

Gunter HS

In Game 1 from Gunter HS, Pro Source 16U Red outmatched Diamond Prospects Turner, 11-1. Michael Holden was named player of the game after reaching base four times. Holden ripped a home run, tallied two RBI, and reached base via a walk and two HBP to help lead Pro Source’s offensive attack.

In Game 2 from Gunter HS, Pro Source 16U Black defeated USA Prime Cavemen Collins, 8-2. Drew Nagel was named player of the game after a great afternoon at the plate. Nagel was 2-3 with two doubles and an RBI as he helped carry Pro Source’s offense.

In Game 3 from Gunter HS, Dallas Tigers Felts blanked USA Prime 16U Lucroy, 16-0. Jaeden Marshall had a nice day at the plate and earned player of the game. Marshall was 2-2 with three RBI, two walks, and a stolen base as he led the Tigers’ potent offensive attack.

In Game 4 from Gunter HS, Frisco Riders shutout Texas Desperados Walton, 6-0. Graham Mayfield was excellent on the mound and was awarded player of the game. Mayfield tossed a seven inning complete game shutout and allowed only two hits while striking out five.

Jesuit HS

In Game 1 from Jesuit HS, USA Prime Chamblee 2023 defeated Dallas Tigers 2023, 5-2. CJ Head was named pitcher of the game after tossing a seven inning complete game. Head added five strikeouts and allowed only two runs. Joseph Dominguez was named hitter of the game after going 1-3 with a double and an RBI. Also to note, Matthew Clark was 2-2 for the Tigers.

In Game 2 from Jesuit HS, SA Kings Scout 2023 outlasted Dallas Patriots Sherard 2023, 3-2. Miguel Bustamante impressed all around and was named player of the game. Bustamante struck out three in three scoreless innings and also tallied a double and an RBI at the dish. Kyler Proctor was named pitcher of the game after striking out three in 1.1 innings of work. Also to note Cade Ladehoff and Collin Liles each tacked on two hits.

In Game 3 from Jesuit HS, Elite Baseball Academy Gaines bested North Dallas Baseball Academy, 10-8. Colden Kiser had a huge 2-2 day at the plate and took home hitter of the game honors. Kiser ripped two home runs, tallied four RBI, and scored three times. JT Thompson pitched well and was named pitcher of the game after striking out one in two innings. Also to note, Jakob Charles continued his hot weekend as he was 2-2 with an RBI.

Old Celina Park

In Game 1 from Old Celina Park, Academy Select Brand outlasted Dallas Bandits LaRock 16U, 9-8. Christoper Courrege was named player of the game after going 1-3 with a double and tallying two RBI. James Darroch had a solid day on the mound and was named pitcher of the game. Darroch struck out six in 5.2 innings of work.

Old Denison HS

In Game 1 from Old Denison HS, Canes Southwest NTX Acuna and 15U Dulins Dodgers Hecht/Larson tied, 8-8. Sam Lake had a a big morning at the plate and was named player of the game. Lake was 2-2 with a triple, three RBI, two runs, and a walk. Also to note, Carter Dymek was 2-2 with a run scored for the Dodgers.

In Game 2 from Old Denison HS, LBC State Losoya outlasted 15U Dulins Dodgers Hecht/Larson, 7-6. Jackson Duffin had a nice day at the plate and was named player of the game. Duffin was 2-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Also to note, Lex Lipka was 2-3 with an RBI.

In Game 3 from Old Denison HS, Arlington A’s Nationals outmatched Canes Southwest NTX Acuna, 14-5. Jaden Black had a good day at the plate and was named player of the game. Black was 2-3 with a double and three RBI. Also to note, Kyle Moser was 3-3 with three runs and an RBI as he and Black led Arlington’s offensive onslaught.

In Game 4 from Old Denison HS, LBC State Losoya blanked SA Kings Gold 2023, 8-0. Eric Tenery was named player of the game after a stellar outing on the hill. Tenery allowed only one hit and struck out three in six innings of work. Also to note, Corbin Gunter was 2-3 with two RBI at the dish.

In Game 5 from Old Denison HS, Arlington A’s Nationals defeated SA Kings Gold 2023, 5-1. Matt Hudspeth was named player of the game after striking out three in 3.2 innings of work. Also to note, Colton Robertson was 2-3 with a run scored.

Z-Plex Judson

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Judson, Dallas Patriots 15U Unger defeated DFW Twins 15U, 10-6. Eli Hung was named player of the game after a nice showing on the bump. Hung struck out five in 4.2 innings of work. Cole Cloutier was named hitter of the game after going 2-2 with two RBI. Also to note, Tyler Hannawalt tacked on two RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Judson, Canes Southwest Jenkins 2023 outmatched Dallas Patriots 15U Unger, 13-2. Peyton Brewer tossed a great game on the mound and was named player of the game. Brewer hurled a five inning complete game and added five punchouts on the day.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Judson, DFW Twins 15U bested DFW Jets, 18-3. Jaden Rollins had a great all around day and took home payer of the game honors. Rollins was 3-3 with a double, two RBI, and four runs at the plate. On the mound, Rollins struck out five in four innings of work.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Judson, DFW Jets outlasted Canes Southwest Jenkins 2023, 13-8. Colin Robson had a great day at the plate and was named player of the game. Robson was 3-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Zadow Park

In Game 1 from Zadow Park, McKinney Marshals 15U Matusik bested Dallas Patriots Brooks, 11-3. Brandon Huff had a nice showing on the mound and was named player of the game. Huff tossed five innings and struck out three on the day. Also to note, Kasen Sharp was named hitter of the game after going 2-3 with a triple and two RBI.

In Game 2 from Zadow Park, LBC State Leal outmatched McKinney Marshals 15U Matusik, 11-1. Michael Ledsome had an enormous day at the plate and was named player of the game. Ledsome racked up four RBI and was 2-3 with a double. Jaret Hoyle tossed a good game on the mound and was named pitcher of the game. Hoyle struck out four in four innings of work. Also to note, Ethan McAlister tacked on two triples.

In Game 3 from Zadow Park, Dallas Patriots Brooks outlasted Cooperstown Cobras 15U Tinius, 5-4. Landon Cochran was named player of the game after notching a key solo home run. Cochran reached base via two base on balls as well.

In Game 4 from Zadow Park, Arlington A’s Rangers blanked Marucci Elite Texas Dallas 15U, 15-0. Zach Makerewich was named player of the game after a great day in the box. Makerewich was 3-3 with four RBI and scored twice. Trace Mazon was named pitcher of the game after striking out two in three no-hit innings. Also to note, Kole Allen was 2-2 with two RBI and a walk.

In Game 5 from Zadow Park, NTX Elite Willingham 2023 topped Arlington A’s Rangers, 8-7. Ethan Quiroga was named player of the game after tallying a triple and two RBI. David Hyde was named pitcher of the game after striking out seven in five innings of work. Also to note, Luke Willmon tacked on two doubles and two RBI for Arlington.

In Game 6 from Zadow Park, Tribe Baseball V defeated Marucci Elite Texas Dallas 15U, 4-1. Walker Blue had another great game and was named player of the game. Blue allowed only one run on two hits and struck out five in five strong innings of work on the rubber.
