Waco Storm Astros defeated Odessa Rage, 8-2, in 16U Semifinal #1 from Baylor University. Luke Kilgore spun a complete game win on the mound and was the player of the game. Kilgore allowed just five hits and two runs while striking out two hitters in the win. Jace Walker went 2-3 with one double, one RBI, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Aleck Villa was a two-way threat going 1-3 with one double and one stolen base at the plate and pitching four scoreless innings on the mound. Brian Ramirez went 2-2 with two runs batted in.

Dallas Tigers Ethridge defeated North Texas Longhorns, 5-4, in 16U Semifinal #2 from Baylor University. Blake Anderson struck out nine hitters while allowing three hits and two earned runs in four innings of work. Anderson was the player of the game. McCrae West allowed just one hit and zero earned runs in 2.1 innings of work while striking out two. Gabe Cortez went 2-2 with one double, one RBI, two runs scored, and one walk. Ethan Bedgood went 1-3 with two runs batted in and one walk.

Huber struck out three and allowed three hits and one earned run in four innings. Huber also went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in. The double put his team ahead for good. Tyler Dickey went 2-4 with two runs batted in, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Joseph Redfield went 2-2 with two runs batted in, one run scored, two walks, and one stolen base.

Marucci Elite Texas Biggers defeated Thrive Haugen, 6-4, in the 15U Championship Game from Baylor University. Kevin Newkirk went 1-3 with one triple, three runs batted in, and one run scored and was the player of the game. Henry Fernelius struck out four hitters in five innings of work. Fernelius allowed just two hits and two runs and was the pitcher of the game. Parker Airhart went 1-2 with one double, one RBI, and one run scored. Isaac Garcia came in relief and picked up the save. Garcia touched 86 MPH.

McLennan Community College

Lone Star Baseball Larue defeated Waco Storm Angels, 14-4, in 17U Semifinal #1 from McLennan. Jace Grady led the charge going 3-5 with one home run, one double, three runs batted in, and two runs scored and was the player of the game. Other notable performers were ReyRey Mendoza (2-4 with one triple, three runs batted in, and two runs scored), Kyte McDonald (2-3 with one double, two runs batted in, one run scored, and one walk), and Cal Martin (3-4 with one double, two runs batted in, and three runs scored).

GPS Baseball Puffer defeated Woodlands Express, 5-2, in 17U Semifinal #2 from McLennan. Grant Wood pitched a complete game and allowed just four hits and two runs. Wood struck out three and was the player of the game. Layne Shumpert went 1-3 with one double and two runs batted in for Woodlands Express.

Lone Star Baseball LaRue defeated GPS Baseball Puffer, 6-1, in the 17U Championship Game from McLennan. Hudson Head went 3-3 with two triples, one RBI, and one run scored and was the player of the game. Nico Rodriguez struck out three and allowed just three hits and one run in four innings of work. ReyRey Mendoza struck out two and allowed just one hit in three scoreless innings of work. Rodriguez and Mendoza were co-pitchers of the game.

Midway HS

Marucci Elite Texas Biggers defeated C3 Futures Capps, 5-2, in 15U Semifinal #1 from Midway HS. Tyler Shepard went 2-3 with one RBI, one run scored, and one stolen base. Shepard made a nice diving catch to end the game was named the player of the game. Kevin Newkirk went 1-4 with two runs batted in and was the hitter of the game. Newkirk’s clutch runs batted in occurred in extra innings and helped seal the victory. Zack Erdman struck out ten hitters and allowed two runs in six innings of work for C3 Futures Capps. Erdman was the pitcher of the game. Benjamin Stevenson went 1-2 with one RBI.

Thrive Haugen defeated Dulins Dodgers Gelnar, 4-2, in 15U Semifinal #2 from Midway HS. Connor Chavez went 2-4 with one RBI and two stolen bases. On the mound, he allowed zero earned runs and struck out three in three innings of work. Chavez was the player of the game. Will Warren went 3-4 with one double and one run scored and was the hitter of the game. Ryan Scott struck out five in four innings while allowing just two hits and zero earned runs and was the pitcher of the game. Raef Wright had a solid game going 2-3 with one RBI, one run scored, and two stolen bases.
