Five Tool Collegiate League Game Stories (Monday, July 6)

Houston

Premier Field 3

In Game 1 from Premier Field 3, Lynx bested Texas Bandits, 8-2. Blaine Romero had a solid day at the dish and was named player of the game. Romero was 2-2 with two RBI and two runs scored as he helped lead the Lynx offense.

In Game 2 from Premier Field 3, Texas Twelve Black blanked Off Season Baseball, 2-0. Logan Henderson continued to absolutely dominate the competition as he was named player of the game once again. Henderson struck out 11 in four no-hit innings of work as he continued to pile up strikeouts in the collegiate league. Reid Easterly was named pitcher of the game after striking out six in three innings of work and helped to throw a combined no-hitter with Henderson.

Premier Field 4

In Game 1 from Premier Field 4, HP Baseball Ruckert outlasted Marucci Elite Texas, 2-1. Luke Thompson was brilliant on the mound and took home player of the game honors. Thompson racked up 10 strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work and surrendered only three hits. Also to note, Jared Barta struck out two in 3.1 innings on the hill.

In Game 2 from Premier Field 4, HP Baseball Ruckert blanked Marucci Elite Texas, 8-0. Rhett McCaffety was named player of the game after a solid day at the dish. McCaffety tallied a double and two RBI on the evening. Also to note, Michael Barta was named pitcher of the game after allowing only one hit and striking out three in 3.1 innings.

Premier Field 5

In Game 1 from Premier Field 5, Premier Baseball topped Texas Twelve Maroon, 4-3. Westley Shields was named player of the game after his late game heroics lifted Premier Baseball to victory. Shields notched the walk-off two-run double. Also to note, Zach Brown was 2-3 with a double and two RBI.

In Game 2 from Premier Field 5, Texas Twelve Maroon outlasted Premier Baseball, 2-1. Max Dias provided some of the only offense in the ballgame as he blasted a solo home run and was awarded player of the game.

Premier Field 6

In Game 1 from Premier Field 6, Off Season Baseball bested HP Baseball Crew, 4-2. Dakota Palmer had a nice showing on the mound and was named player of the game. Palmer allowed two runs on four hits and struck out four in six solid innings of work. Also to note, Jordan Morris was 1-2 with a key RBI and a stolen base.

In Game 2 from Premier Field 6, Premier Baseball Futures outmatched Extreme Heat, 13-2. Broch Holmes had a huge night at the dish and was named player of the game. Holmes blasted two home runs and racked up five RBI on the the day. Also to note, Bryce Holmes tallied a home run and three RBI. James Hitt looked great on the mound as he did not allow a hit and struck out five.

Premier Field 7

In Game 1 from Premier Field 7, Batter’s Box and Brazos Valley Renegades tied, 3-3. Dalton Stevenson was named player of the game after going 1-1 with two RBI and a double. Stevenson also reached base via two base on balls.

In Game 2 from Premier Field 7, Batter’s Box bested Brazos Valley Renegades, 3-1. Evan Aschenbeck was named player of the game after a stellar day on the bump. Aschenbeck totaled five punchouts in three innings and also drove in a run at the plate. Also to note, Conner Kestler allowed only one hit and struck out seven in four innings of work.

Premier Field 8

In Game 1 from Premier Field 8, AB Baseball/Performance Edge topped Texas Lonestar Baseball, 5-3. Olan MacCrae Kendrick was named player of the game after launching a key three-run home run to help lift AB Baseball/Performance to the victory.

In Game 2 from Premier Field 8, USA Prime Houston defeated Houston Heat, 8-6. Benjamin Ybarra was named player of the game after going 2-3 with an RBI. Also to note, Cal Fulton had a great game at the dish as he tallied two hits and drove in four runs.

North Texas

Railroaders

In Game 1 from Railroaders, Stix Collegiate outlasted NTXBC Dirtbags, 5-3. Brett Squires was named player of the game after launching a home run and tallying two RBI.

In Game 2 from Railroaders, Stix Collegiate topped NTXBC Dirtbags, 4-1. Justin Kleinsorge was named player of the game after a strong outing on the mound. Kleinsorge did not allow a hit or run and added four punchouts.

In Game 3 from Railroaders, Arlington A’s defeated 5 Star Performance 2020, 8-1. Kyle Rich had a solid outing on the hill and was named player of the game. Rich struck out six and allowed only one run in four innings of work. Also to note, Eric Walker pitched well as he allowed only one hit and struck out three in three scoreless innings.

In Game 4 from Railroaders, Arlington A’s bested 5 Star Performance, 9-2. Aaron Walters was named player of the game after blasting a home run, tallying three RBI, and reaching base via three base on balls. Also to note, Caleb Bly was named pitcher of the game after allowing only one hit and striking out five in three scoreless innings of work.

Z-Plex Bishop

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Bishop, Chancellor’s Team outlasted Dallas Patriots 2020, 3-2. Diego Muniz was named player of the game after a solid afternoon at the plate. Muniz tallied two hits including a double. Also to note, Brock Figueroa was named pitcher of the game after striking out three in three innings of work.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Bishop, Chancellor’s Team blanked Dallas Patriots 2020, 4-0. Cody Masters took home player of the game honors after blasting a home run and reaching base via two base on balls. Also to note, Zac Vooletich was 2-4 with a double and an RBI.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Bishop, Stix 2020 Ray outmatched Phenom 2020, 13-4. Bradon Zastrow was named player of the game after an excellent afternoon at the dish. Zastrow was 3-3 with a home run and three RBI. Also to note, Garrison Berkley was 2-3 with a double and two RBI.

Z-Plex Hogan

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Hogan, Dallas Patriots bested ZT Elite NTX Gray, 4-1. Nicholas Flores was a force on the mound and was named player of the game. Flores racked up 11 punchouts in 5.2 innings of work. Also to note, Preston Baumgartner was named hitter of they game after notching a key double and tacking on two RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Hogan, North Texas Longhorns Boddie outlasted ZT Elite NTX Gray, 2-1. Kyler Heyne was excellent on the mound and took home player of the game. Heyne all0wed only one run over six innings and racked up nine strikeouts on the day. Also to note, Dylan Cadell was named hitter of the game as he tallied two doubles and an RBI.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Hogan, Richard Austin Baseball Cannons defeated 5 Star Performance, 3-2 as the game was called early due to inclement weather.

Z-Plex Judson

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Judson, USA Prime DFW outmatched Impact Baseball Club, 13-2. Blake Mayfield was named player of the game after a strong outing on the bump. Mayfield struck out five in five innings of work. Also to note, Jack Angus blasted a home run and drove in two runs. Kendall Pettis tacked on a double and an RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Judson, Academy Select Baseball topped Dallas Tigers Preston, 4-3. Tim Wynia was excellent on the mound and took home player of the game honors. Wynia racked up eight strikeouts and surrendered only three hits in four innings of work. Jared Martin was named hitter of the game after tallying the go-ahead two-run single. Also to note, Lance Russell was 2-4 with an RBI.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Judson, North Texas Longhorns Boddie defeated Dallas Patriots, 3-2 as the game was called early due to inclement weather.

Z-Plex Williams

In Game 1 from Z-Plex Williams, USA Prime DFW bested Impact Baseball Club, 7-3. Pryor Thomas was named player of the game after going 2-3 with two doubles at the plate. Tyler Morgan as named pitcher of the game after striking out seven in five innings of work. Also to note, Kendall Pettis was 2-2 with a double and two RBI.

In Game 2 from Z-Plex Williams, Ropes Florence defeated Texas Oilers Baseball, 11-4. CJ Difiglia was named player of the game after a big day at the dish. Difiglia was 2-3 with a double and a home run. Danny Davis was named pitcher of the game after allowing only one hit and striking out three in three innings of work. Also to note, Luke Kinklride was 4-4 with an RBI. Jack Brinkley also added a home run and four RBI on the afternoon.

In Game 3 from Z-Plex Williams, Ropes Florence outlasted Texas Oilers Baseball, 4-3. Chase Peterson was named player of the game after impressing on the mound and at the plate. Peterson was 2-3 with an RBI and also added three strikeouts in 1.1 hitless innings of work on the rubber. Jack Hagan was named pitcher of the game after striking out four in 3.1 innings. Also to note, Cameron Cromer was 2-3 with a double.

In Game 4 from Z-Plex Williams, Dallas Tigers Lawrence defeated Stix 2020 Turner, 5-0 as the game was called early due to inclement weather.

South Texas

Triple Play Field 3

In Game 1 from Triple Play Field 3, Austin Powers outmatched GPS Legends, 14-6. Chase Evans hit the cover off the baseball and took home player of the game honors. Evans blasted two home runs, racked up four RBI, scored three times, and also walked twice. Also to note, Griffin Paxton launched a home run and scored twice.

In Game 2 from Triple Play Field 3, Austin Powers beat GPS Legends 8-4. Wyatt Childress had a nice showing at the plate and was named player of the game. Childress was 2-3 with a triple and four RBI as he helped lead Austin Powers to the win.

DBAT Field 6

In Game 1 from DBAT Field 6, Canes Southwest Collegiate Gold bested Lobos Baseball Collegiate, 12-2. Lance Little had an enormous day at the dish and was named player of the game. Little was 2-2 with a double, a home run, and six RBI. Also to note, Reed Hodges was 3-3 with a double and two runs scored.

In Game 2 from DBAT Field 6, Canes Southwest College Black defeated Lobos Baseball Collegiate, 7-5. Ryan Flake was awarded player of the game after going 2-4 at the plate, Flake tallied two RBI and also struck out three hitters in two innings of work on the mound.
