Dudes of the Weekend: Week 1

Hitters

Sawyer Farr (Dallas Tigers Bergman)

Dallas Tigers Bergman’s Sawyer Farr turned heads after a stellar start to his summer season in the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The 2024 Texas A&M commit from Boswell (TX) was an on base machine and racked up seven hits. The switch hitting phenom made a statement Monday morning as he belted a three-run home run well over the wall in left. This dude proved to be the definition of a five tool player and will have eyes on him throughout the rest of the summer. Really impressive stuff from this stud in the making.

Coley McGarry (Pro Source 16U Patterson)

Pro Source 16U Patterson’s Coley McGarry shined at the plate and got off to a torrid start in his summer campaign. The uncommitted 2024 out of Guyer (TX) proved to be a hitting machine as he racked up a whopping 10 hits over the course of the weekend. The RHH has a sound base and mechanics at the dish and seems to look to hit the ball where it is pitched. The rising junior also showcased some speed as he swiped four bags and flew around the basepaths on a triple Monday morning. Really impressive opening weekend from this up and coming dude.

Jayden Vinson (Texas Crush Baseball 2024)

Texas Crush Baseball 2024’s Jayden Vinson swung a hot bat in his summer debut at the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2024 out of Waxahachie (TX) hit a staggering .600 and led the way for his squad with 7 RBI. The RHH features a powerful, compact swing and really utilizes the lower half to provide pop. Excited to see how this dude builds off an impressive all-around performance throughout the remainder of the summer season.

Luke Hamm (Midland Bulls Rogers 15U)

Midland Bulls Rogers 15U’s Luke Hamm put on a powerful display at the plate in the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2025 from Keller (TX) was an extra base hit machine as he ripped three doubles and belted a home run in an impressive all around weekend at the dish. The RHH has a short, quick swing which allows him to catch up to higher velocity. The rising sophomore has a tall and lanky frame that he will only continue to grow into with time. This dude jumped onto the scene this past weekend and will be a name to watch over the course of the next few months.

Saul Vela (Rangers Youth Academy 15U)

Rangers Youth Academy 15U’s Saul Vela was a force to be reckoned with at the dish in the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2024 out of Adamson (TX) racked up a ridiculous six doubles over the course of the weekend and proved to deliver in big moments as he knocked in 10 runs. The RHH utilizes a short leg kick to time up pitches and provide power, which pairs well with his quick bat speed. The rising junior also showed out on the base paths as he came around to score nine runs and also swiped five bags. Keep an eye on this dude over the rest of the summer.

Romel Garcia (Rangers Youth Academy 15U)

Rangers Youth Academy 15U’s Romel Garcia formed a pretty formidable 1-2 punch with fellow Dude of the Weekend, Saul Vela. The uncommitted 2024 out of Martin (TX) sprayed the baseball all over the yard as he picked up nine hits and really drove the ball to the power alleys. The RHH showcased quick hands and good bat speed. This dude seems to have a sense for the big moment as he delivered when his team needed him and drove in nine runs over the holiday weekend. Romel Garcia is a name worth watching over the course of the next couple of months.

Nathan Gamez (Texas Made Baseball)

Texas Made Baseball’s Nathan Gamez put on a powerful display this weekend in the Five Tool South Texas Kickoff. The power hitting LHH out of Southwest (TX) picked up six hits in 10 at bats and absolutely obliterated an opposite field home run Sunday evening. The 2022 Alcorn State signee has big time pop and really gets into his lower half to drive the baseball. This recent high school graduate hit the cover off the baseball and will be a name to watch next spring as he begins his freshman season in the SWAC.

Brady Morgeson (B45s OK 2026)

B45s OK 2026’s Brady Morgeson put together a stellar weekend at the dish in the Five Tool Oklahoma 14U College Series. The uncommitted 2026 from Edmond Santa Fe (OK) did a little bit of everything as he tallied eight hits, two extra base knocks, scored eight runs, and stole two bags. The LHH utilized a sweet, short swing and was direct to the baseball. Morgeson certainly has room to grow and add muscle over the course of the next four years and already exhibits a tall, lanky frame. Keep an eye on this dude.

Tyler Frazier (B45s OK 2026)

Event: Five Tool Oklahoma 14U College Series

B45s OK 2026’s Tyler Frazier showed out in the Five Tool Oklahoma 14U College Series this past weekend. The uncommitted 2026 from Newcastle (OK) racked up three doubles and a total of seven hits in an impressive all-around performance. The RHH has a very quick bat and is aggressive at the dish, looking to drive the baseball to the power alleys. This dude has all the tools to be a star. The incoming freshman will certainly be a name to watch throughout the next couple of years as he gets stronger and more mature.

Jeremiah Cunningham (Clutch Sports Academy 2026 Black)

Clutch Sports Academy 2026 Black’s Jeremiah Cunningham put on a show at the dish in the Five Tool Oklahoma 14U College Series. The uncommitted 2025 from Covington (TX) picked up seven hits and sprayed the ball all over the yard. The RHH prioritizes getting his hands out front to provide pop and seems to look to drive the ball the other way. This dude burst onto the scene and will be a name to know throughout the rest of the summer and into his sophomore season at Covington.

John Timmons (Edge Baseball Columbia 16U)

Edge Baseball Columbia 16U’s John Timmons was locked in at the dish in this weekend’s Five Tool Texas Houston Kickoff. The uncommitted 2024 from Langham Creek (TX) showcased the ability to drive the ball to all fields and really impressed by racking up eight hits. The LHH is quiet pre pitch but explodes at contact and has a strong lower half that provides pop. Timmons opened up the scoring on Monday afternoon with a booming opposite field home run in the bottom of the first. This kid has advanced knowledge of the zone and great feel at the plate. Get on this dude!

Noah Jeon (5 Star Performance 15U Adams)

5 Star Performance 15U Adams’ Noah Jeon was locked and loaded on the bump in this weekend’s Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2025 from Coppell (TX) filled up the zone throughout his outing on Saturday afternoon. The RHP went right at hitters and leaned on his put away pitches to rack up a ridiculous 13 punchouts over six innings. This dude will be a name worth watching as he transitions into his sophomore spring at Coppell.

Dominick Giudice (Pro Source 16U Breeding)

Pro Source 16U Breeding’s Dominick Giudice impressed over the course of a couple different outings in the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2024 from Lebanon Trail (TX) allowed only one hit over 5.2 IP and racked up 11 strikeouts. The LHP ran his fastball up to 83 MPH and features a deceptive windup in which he hides the ball well. Giudice is a tough arm to pick up and he seemingly baffled hitters all weekend long. This dude has room to add velocity and become a very formidable ace in the next couple of years. Watch out for this one.

DiAngelo Del Valle (Texas Made Baseball)

Texas Made Baseball’s DiAngelo Del Valle put on an impressive show and dominated the opposition in the Five Tool South Texas Kickoff. The uncommitted 2022 from Southwest Legacy (TX) was lights out in his start Friday night. The RHP allowed only one hit over 6.1 innings and racked up 11 punchouts. Del Valle lived in and around the zone all evening and put away hitters with a well located fastball. This dude can certainly help out a college program and will be a fun watch the rest of the summer. Get on this dude now!
