Trosky Texas 2022-Ina’s Jose Vargas was on fire this weekend. The uncommitted 2022 from Clear Springs (TX) was an all-around beast and spearheaded the production for his squad. The sweet-swinging left-handed hitter has a very fundamentally sound and repeatable swing that allows him to easily hit balls where they’re pitched. His selective approach, plus bat, plus speed, and smoothness in the field make him a prototypical shortstop prospect to keep an eye on.

The 2021 Angelo St. signee sprayed balls over the field and employed a mature approach at the plate. The right-handed batter crushes balls in the gaps with a nice compact swing for consistent pop. Solid MIF prospect to watch in college.

The uncommitted 2022 from Bridgeland (TX) was a doubles machine as nearly half his hits this weekend were two-baggers. The RHH showcased easy pop and quick bat speed that paired well with a powerful lower half. Hunt was able to get extended and catch up to pitcher’s fastballs to drive the ball to all fields. Keep an eye on this one as the summer progresses.

The uncommitted 2022 from Cedar Park (TX) showcased his ability to produce for his team and deliver a big hit when needed as he totaled 12 RBI. Dallas Patriots 15U-Brooks’ Zachary Pearrow was the definition of a “dude” on both sides of the ball this weekend. The uncommitted 2024 from Waxahachie (TX) was an OPS machine at the plate and almost unhittable on the bump. The right-handed hitter does a nice job putting the barrel to the ball, generating plenty of exit velocity and extra-base hits. His over-the-top delivery from the left side on the mound makes it difficult for hitters to differentiate between fastball and breaking ball out of the hand. Legitimate two-way prospect.

Prime Cavemen Muñoz 17/18U’s Matthew Stancliff Jr. was on a tear at the plate this weekend. The uncommitted 2022 from Burleson Centennial (TX) showcased a polished and advanced mindset in the box to deliver run production and extra-base hits for his squad. The left-handed hitter gets the most out of his frame at 5’8” – 130 lbs with a clean and repeatable swing that gets plenty of extension to hit balls into the gaps. The uncommitted 2023 from Redondo Union (CA) put together a spectacular Friday has he totaled 13 bases in two games. Dallas Patriots 2021’s Jacob Prokarym was on another level on the mound this weekend. The 2021 Ranger College signee refused to allow any runs across the plate in nearly ten innings of work. The left-handed pitcher hides the ball well behind his big frame and has a surprisingly quick delivery for his size, allowing him to dominate batters with a fastball-knuckle curve-changeup mix. Excellent pitching prospect for four-year college programs to watch.

NTX Elite-McCrummen’s Reese Bassinger was nearly flawless this weekend at NTX Classic Satellite Series. The 2021 Odessa College signee was one hit short of a no-hitter in his start and showcased his best stuff. What he lacks in top-end velocity is easily made up for with his pitch repertoire. The crafty right-hander utilizes a ¾ delivery to supplement his insane five-pitch mix that features a fastball, changeup, curveball, slider, and splitter to keep hitters guessing at the plate. Very nice college pitching prospect to keep eyes on.
