Canes Southwest Canes 2024’s Braden Hernandez had quite the weekend to kick off his summer campaign. The uncommitted 2024 from Reedy (TX) showed a unique skill set at the plate as he impressed from both sides. The switch-hitter displayed a mature approach at the dish and looked to drive the ball to all fields. Really unique prospect in this one.

The uncommitted 2022 from Denton Guyer (TX) racked up two triples and a ridiculous seven stolen bases, which really allowed him to show off some serious wheels. The uncommitted 2022 from Edmond North (OK) led an impressive SWAT Academy team at the dish and really drove the ball well to left and LCF. The RHH utilized good bat speed and extension to stay through pitches up in the zone. Mustari has a nice, athletic frame and will only grow stronger with time.

Texas Cannons 2024 Rumfield’s Cole Faulkner was a pitcher’s worst nightmare this weekend at the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2024 from Highland Park (TX) did a little bit of everything as he tallied seven hits, three of them for extra bases, and was a menace on the base paths. Faulkner has the looks of a stereotypical leadoff hitter but with an extra level of pop. Look for this one to make some noise in future tournaments this summer.

The uncommitted 2023 from Allen (TX) showed off both the hit and speed tool as he worked to drive the ball to all fields, as well as having a knack to take an extra-base and put his teammates in a position to rack up runs batted in. The RHH has a short, compact swing as well as a strong lower half that will be put on display throughout events all summer long.

Dallas Tigers Micucci’s Jordan Thomas was unhittable Sunday afternoon in the Five Tool Texas DFW Kickoff. The uncommitted 2022 from Frisco Reedy tossed a six-inning, no-hitter and racked up 11 punchouts. The RHP worked a fastball-curveball combo that really threw hitters off due to a large gap in velocity. Thomas currently sits at 80-84 MPH but makes it look easy as the ball seems to explode out of his hand. Keep an eye on this dude as he continues to add velocity the coming months and in his senior season this spring.

The uncommitted 2023 from Cleburne (TX) picked apart the opposition with excellent control and working down in the zone. The uncommitted 2022 from Mansfield (TX) was instrumental in the Tigers’ combined no-hitter as he overwhelmed hitters with a heavy fastball and dirty slider. The LHP gets his lower half engaged and has an impressive build that will aid in his velocity development over the next few months.
