2020 AABC Don Mattingly World Series Championship/Awards (Saturday, July 11)

Williams Field

In the Championship Game of the AABC Don Mattingly World Series from Z-Plex Williams, Texas Twelve Maroon blanked 5 Star Performance, 8-0. Luke Harrison continued his dominant week on the mound as he tossed a five inning complete game and silenced the potent bats of 5 Star Performance. Harrison was named player of the game as he allowed only one hit and struck out four hitters. Brandon Bishop was named hitter of the game as he carried the Twelve’s offense with two hits and two RBI. Not to be outdone, Raffi Gross and Travis White piled on with two hits a piece.

Lincoln Hackim MVP Award

Conner Weigman (Texas Twelve Maroon)

Texas Twelve Maroon’s Conner Weigman has had himself one incredible summer as he adds another award to his trophy case. After earning the Offensive MVP at the Pudge Rodriguez World Classic, Weigman took home the Lincoln Hackim MVP this weekend at the AABC Don Mattingly World Series. The uncommitted 2022 from Bridgeland (TX) played up an age class and did not miss a beat. This dude is a rare five tool talent and a can’t miss prospect that has college coaches lined up for a chance to land the superstar’s talents. Weigman is going to be the cornerstone in the lucky school’s 2022 Freshman Class. If you haven’t yet heard the name Conner Weigman he’ll be sure to make you remember it as he churns out unreal performances day in and day out.

The 2021 University of Arkansas commit from Haughton (LA) showcased why some consider him to be one of the top hitters in the nation and took home the Joseph R. Cooper Batting Champion award. The sweet swinging lefty hit a staggering .636 this weekend and drove the ball to all fields. Stovall is a name to know for all SEC baseball fans as he is going to be a fan favorite in Fayetteville. Most Valuable Pitcher Award

Luke Harrison (Texas Twelve Maroon)

Texas Twelve Maroon’s Luke Harrison turned out a dominant performance in the Championship Game of the AABC Don Mattingly World Series and took home the Most Valuable Pitcher award. The 2021 University of Texas commit from Lutheran South Academy (TX) featured a mid 80s fastball and put hitters away with a filthy breaking ball that just falls off the table. The LHP is especially deceptive as he works from a three-quarter arm slot and features a number of varying windups that mess with hitter’s timing. Harrison is a very crafty arm that will continue to dominate hitters with his pinpoint control.
