Baylor

In Game 1 from Baylor, DBAT 17U Self defeated Texas Stix South 17U, 3-2. DBAT took their first lead in the 5th inning on an RBI double by Alan West (see below). He ended the game going 1-4 with that double and RBI and picked up player of the game. Pitcher of the game was Justin Kleinsorge who threw all seven innings striking out six and giving up six hits.

TC Patriots Parras defeated Arlington A’s Rombach, 12-1, in Game 2 from Baylor. For the Patriots, Benny Emmons threw two no-hit innings in relief striking out four. At the plate, Omar Camacho went 1-2 with one triple, three runs batted in and two runs scored. Bryant Bailey went 3-3 with one double, two runs scored and two stolen bases. He was named player of the game.

In Game 3 from Baylor Ballpark, Cooperstown Cobras 16U defeated Dallas Tigers Ahearne, 6-4. For the Tigers, Jayton Oldacre went 2-3 with one double and one RBI. For the Cobras, Hayden Lady went 1-4 with two runs batted in. Owen Loesch went 3-4 with three runs batted in. He also threw 2.1 innings and struck out six while allowing three hits. Loesch was named player of the game.

In Game 4 from Baylor, Play Like a Pro Bulldogs beat Midland BA Carolina Blue, 4-2. Bulldogs’ Cole Kracmer threw all seven innings striking out seven with six hits. He gave up no earned runs on his way to player of the game. Also for the Bulldogs, Aaron Tesei went 1-3 with one triple and one run scored. Matt Haley went 1-2 with one double and one run scored.

MBA Navy defeated LBA Fortney, 3-0, in Game 5 from Baylor. Luis Rodriguez carried a no-hitter into the seventh, but ultimately gave up one hit. He went seven innings and struck out eight batters on his way to player of the game. MBA’s Cade McGary went 1-3 with one triple, one RBI and one run scored. He picked up hitter of the game. Also to note, Sebastian Flores threw six innings striking out six with five hits and one earned run allowed.

McLennan

Game 1 at McLennan ended in a 8-8 tie between Texas Stix White 17U and Dallas Mustangs Randle. For the Mustangs, Matthew Hittle went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in and one run scored. Aaron Davis went 1-3 with three runs batted in. He had a big two-run single in the seventh (see below). For the Stix, Alex Johnson went 2-2 with one RBI and one run scored. Scott Stiller went 3-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Stiller was named player of the game.

McKinney Marshals 17U defeated C3 Futures Capps, 5-3, in Game 2 from McLennan. Reid Nitcher went 2-2 with two doubles, two runs batted in and one run scored on his way to player of the game. Bryson Lyro threw 1.2 innings of perfect baseball to pick up pitcher of the game.

In Game 3 from McLennan, DBAT 17U Self beat McKinney Marshals 17U, 7-5. DBAT’s Carson Cheany went 1-2 with one double and two runs batted in. Alan West went 2-3 with two doubles, two runs batted in and two runs scored on his way to player of the game. In relief on the mound, Ely Fink threw 1.2 no-hit innings. He picked up pitcher of the game.

Dallas Mustangs Randle defeated Texas Stix South 17U, 6-1, in Game 4 from McLennan. For the Stix, Brett Squires threw four innings with one strikeout. He gave up two hits with no runs allowed. For the Mustangs, Matthew Hittle needed 68 pitches to go seven innings and pick up the W. He struck out one batter with seven hits and was named player of the game.

Midway HS

In Game 1 from Midway HS, Fort Worth Cats 17U defeated Cooperstown Cobras 17U, 6-0. Hunter Rosson went 2-3 with two doubles and two runs batted in. He was named player of the game for his strong performance.

Cooperstown Cobras 17U came away with the close victory over Team Rawlings Moulton, 1-0, in Game 2 from Midway HS. On the mound for Rawlings was Seth McLaughlin who threw a beautiful six innings striking out 11 with only one hit allowed. He didn’t give up any earned runs and was named player of the game. Getting the lone hit and run for the Cobras was Bryan Burgos who went 1-3. For Team Rawlings, Jacob Castro and Trey Thurman both went 1-3 with one double.

In Game 3 from Midway HS, Team Rawlings Moulton defeated DBAT Munguia, 2-0. Brian Hamilton threw five innings striking out two. He gave up three hits and was named player of the game.

In Game 4 from Midway HS, Amarillo Titans 2018 Van Buren defeated DBAT Munguia, 5-0. Max Marusak went 3-3 with two home runs and five runs batted in. He stole two bases and scored twice on his way to player of the game. Pitcher of the game was Kade Hunsaker. He threw six innings striking out four with no runs allowed.

In Game 5 from Midway HS, Texas Stix Red 17U defeated Amarillo Titans 2018, 10-1. For the Titans, Max Marusak stayed hot going 2-3 with one double. Colton Moore went 2-3 with one double and one RBI on his way to player of the game. For the Stix, Brett Minnich went 1-3 with one home run and three runs batted in. Pitcher of the game was Blake Empkey who threw six innings striking out five with three hits and one earned run allowed.

San Marcos HS

In Game 1 from San Marcos High School, South Texas Sliders 16U beat Texas Muddogs 16U, 15-0, in five innings. John Ortega threw all five striking out four and giving up three hits. He was named player of the game. Jacob Sanchez went 2-3 with one double, one triple, one RBI, and two runs scored. Jacob Rosales went 2-3 with one double, three runs batted in, one run scored, and one stolen base. Rosales was named hitter of the game.

Lobos Baseball 2018 defeated Border Bombers 18U Luna, 8-2, in Game 2 from San Marcos HS. At the plate, Andrew Pavon went 3-3 with one run scored. Anthony Tovar went 1-2 with one double, three runs batted in and one run scored. Tovar also threw four innings striking out four with no earned runs. He was named player of the game.

In Game 3 from San Marcos HS, Border Bombers 16U Luna beat PrimeTime 16U Black, 8-3. Isaac Orozco went 3-4 with one double, one RBI and two stolen bases. He was named player of the game. Also to note, Eric Ibarra went 2-3 with two runs scored.

Texas Colt 45’s defeated Border Bombers 18U Luna, 14-10, in Game 4 from San Marcos HS. Bombers’ Alejandro Resma went 2-4 with two doubles, two runs batted in and one run scored. Colt 45’s’ Kaiden Beaty went 2-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Isaac Lopez went 2-4 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. He was named player of the game.

Lobos Baseball 2019 beat RTG Baseball-Fisher 16U, 6-0, in Game 5 from San Marcos HS. Caeden Jenkins went 2-3 with one double, two runs scored and one stolen base. He was named hitter of the game. Jared Sherer threw seven innings striking out six. He walked one batter with four hits on his way to player of the game.

Texas Lutheran

In Game 1 from Texas Lutheran, PrimeTime Baseball 15U defeated SA Angels 16U, 6-0. On the mound, Billy Brown threw all seven innings striking out four and giving up three hits on his way to player of the game. At the plate, Carter Doucet went 2-3 with one RBI and three runs scored. He picked up hitter of the game.

Texas Pro United and Texas Colt 45’s ended in a 2-2 tie in Game 2 at Texas Lutheran. On the mound, Drew Baggerley threw 5.1 innings and struck out four. He gave up two hits with no earned runs allowed on his way to player of the game. Hitter of the game was Cameron Vaselakos who went 1-2 with one double and one RBI.

Round Rock Express Puffer beat Texas Pro United, 11-0, in Game 3 from Texas Lutheran. Eric Worden threw six one-hit inning striking out five on his way to player of the game. At the plate, Jacob Wilk went 2-2 with one triple, one RBI and three runs scored. He picked up hitter of the game.

In Game 4 from Texas Lutheran, Round Rock Express Puffer beat Lobos Baseball 2018, 6-2. Drew Dobbins was pitcher of the game throwing five no-hit innings and striking out four. Kimble Schuessler was player of the game going 2-3 with two doubles and three runs batted in. Also to note, Mason Montgomery went 1-3 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored.

Scripture Baseball beat Woodlands Express, 7-3, in Game 5 from Texas Lutheran. Scripture’s Chuck Rowell went 1-1 with one double, two runs batted in, one run scored, and one stolen base. Express’ Bren Oestrike threw four innings striking out four with three hits. He did not give up an earned run on his way to player of the game.

Texas State

In Game 1 from Texas State, Lobos Baseball 2019 defeated Border Bombers 16U Luna, 14-1. Konner Beavers went 1-2 with one double (see below), three runs batted in and two runs scored. Colton Brown went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in and one run scored. Caeden Jenkins went 3-4 with one double, two runs batted in, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Jenkins was named player of the game. On the mound, Jaden Hamilton threw three innings striking out thee with no runs allowed. He was named pitcher of the game.

RTG Baseball Fisher 16U defeated Round Rock Express 16U Alexander, 4-0, in Game 2 from Texas State. It was a battle of pitchers as Express’ Jimmy Lewis and RTG’s Tony Limon duked it out. Lewis threw a six-inning one-hitter and struck out 10 with one earned run. He also went 1-3 with one double at the plate. Lewis hit 85 MPH on the radar gun with a 70 MPH curveball. Limon went all seven innings striking out four. He gave up four hits as well. At the plate, Limon went 1-3 with one triple and one RBI. He was named player of the game for his performance.

South Texas Sliders 16U beat San Antonio Angels 16U, 9-2, in Game 3 from Texas State. Argelio Guajardo went 1-2 with two runs batted in. Jacob Sanchez went 2-3 with two runs batted in, two runs scored and one stolen base. Jacob Rosales went 2-4 with one triple, two runs batted in, one run scored, and one stolen base. He was named player of the game. And on the mound, Ezequiel Marroquin threw four innings striking out three. He gave up four hits with no runs allowed on his way to pitcher of the game.

In Game 4 from Texas State, PrimeTime 15U Black beat Texas Muddogs 16U, 8-2. Tyler Burg threw six innings and struck out three with four hits and one earned run. He was named player of the game. Cody Cavness came in to pinch-hit and he went yard. Cavness just got the one AB and drove in two runs on the home run.

In Game 5 from Texas State, PrimeTime 16U Black beat Round Rock Express 16U Alexander, 2-1. Despite getting pegged with the loss, Jacob Gomillion had an awesome outing going seven one-hit innings with six strikeouts. He did allow an earned run and was named player of the game. His counterpart, Parker Gregg, threw a complete game as well. He struck out five batters with six hits allowed. Hitter of the game was Express’ Austin Plante who went 2-3 with one double, one triple and one run scored.

Texas Stix 17U White beat McKinney Marshals 17U, 7-6, in Game 1 from Baylor. For the Marshals, James Monroe went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in and two runs scored. For the Stix, Tristan Williams threw two one-hit innings striking out two with no runs allowed. He picked up the save on his way to player of the game.

In Game 2 from Baylor, Amarillo Titans 2018 Van Buren beat Team Rawlings Moulton, 2-1. For Rawlings, Nolen Hester went 2-3 with one double and one run scored. Logan Layer went 2-3 with one double and one RBI. For the Titans, Trevor Andrus threw three shutout innings. Player of the game was Aaron Haase who went 2-2 and made an awesome play in right field to keep the game tied.

C3 Futures 17U Capps beat Dallas Mustangs Randle, 4-3, in Game 3 from Baylor. Cade Branum picked up player of the game by delivering the game-winning RBI single finishing his day 1-4. Pitcher of the game was C3’s Nathan Longoria who threw a masterful two innings of no-hit baseball with two strikeouts. Kason Howell threw one no-hit inning with two strikeouts. For the Mustangs, Mason DaBour went 1-2 with one double and one run scored.

Tres Sifuentes was almost perfect as he threw a no-hitter to help Texas Stix Red 17U beat Fort Worth Cats, 3-0. Sifuentes went all seven inning striking out six batters. He issued just one walk and threw a total of 90 pitches. Sifuentes was 83-87 MPH on the radar gun with a 65-66 MPH curveball. For his outstanding performance, Sifuentes picked up player of the game. Also to note, Stix’s James Crooks went 1-3 with one triple.

In Game 2 from Baylor, Cooperstown Cobras defeated DBAT Munguia, 8-2. Vance Martinez went 1-2 with one triple and two runs batted in for DBAT. He also came in relief to threw three innings of no-hit baseball with one strikeout. Player of the game was Cobras’ Chandler Miller. He went all seven innings striking out three with seven hits and two earned runs allowed.

McLennan

Arlington A’s Rombach beat MBA 15U, 11-9, in Game 1 from McLennan. For the A’s, Pedro Puente went 2-4 with two runs batted in, three runs scored and two stolen bases. He was named hitter of the game. On the mound, Taylor Murray threw five one-hit innings striking out eight. He didn’t give up an earned run and was named player of the game.

In Game 2 from McLennan, Play Like a Pro Bulldogs defeated TC Patriots Parras 16U, 18-3. Colt Ellison was player of the game after going 2-4 with one double, one triple, three runs batted in, and two runs scored. AJ Mendola went 2-4 with one triple, three runs batted in, one run scored, and one stolen base. On the mound, Matt Haley threw 6.1 innings striking out seven.

In Game 3 from McLennan, LBA Fortney beat MBA 16U, 5-2. Andrew Trevino led the way at the plate going 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored. On the mound, Dylan Day threw 5.1 innings of two-hit baseball. He struck out seven with one earned run on his way to player of the game.

In Game 4 from McLennan, Dallas Tigers 16U Ahearne beat Cooperstown Cobras 16U, 12-4. For the Tigers, Gideon Etheridge went 2-2 with one double, two runs batted in and two runs scored. Jayton Oldacre went 2-3 with two doubles, three runs batted in and one run scored. He also threw two innings of no-hit baseball. Oldacre was named player of the game.

Midway HS

Dallas Tigers Ahearne defeated MBA 16U, 3-2, in Game 1 from Midway HS. For MBA, Billy Schwerinebraten went 2-3 with one double and one run scored. Sean Porter went 1-3 with one double. For the Tigers, Drake Boggan went 1-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. JD Crowder pitched five innings striking out eight with four hits and two runs allowed. He was named player of the game.

In Game 2 from Midway HS, Cooperstown Cobras defeated LBA Fortney, 10-0. For LBA, Andrew Trevino went 2-3 with one double. For Cooperstown, Cade Hudson went 2-3 and Marek Hawthorne went 2-4. Jayden Smith went 2-3 with two runs batted in and Owen Loesch went 2-2 with one run batted in. Player of the game was Cameron Roach who went 2-2 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Pitcher of the game was Drake Pearson who threw six innings striking out four with three hits allowed.

In Game 3 from Midway HS, Texas Stix White beat DBAT 17U Self, 11-0. For DBAT, Yealex Lopez went 1-3 with one double. For Stix, Scott Stiller went 1-1 with one double. Alex Falks went 1-3 with one double. Matthew McCarty went 2-3 with two runs scored. And Alex Johnson went 2-2 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Johnson was named player of the game.

Play Like a Pro Bulldogs defeated MBA 15U, 10-7, in Game 4 from Midway HS. For MBA, Nico Rubio went 3-4 with one run scored. Carson Fuentes went 3-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Player of the game was Play Like a Pro Bulldogs’ Aaron Tesei. He went 4-4 with two doubles, four runs batted in and three runs scored.

In Game 5 from Midway HS, TC Patriots Parras beat Arlington A’s Rombach, 11-1. Alex Vetrano threw five one-hit innings striking out seven with no earned runs. He walked three batters and was named pitcher of the game. At he plate, Nicholas Chavez went 2-2 with two runs batted in and two runs scored. He stole one base and was named player of the game.

San Marcos HS

SA Angels 16U beat Texas Muddogs 16U, 12-3, in Game 1 from San Marcos HS. Tyler Post was on fire going 4-4 with two triples, three runs batted in and three runs scored. He was named player of the game. Not too far behind him was Michael Merritt. He went 3-4 with one triple, two runs batted in and one stolen base.

In Game 2 from San Marcos HS, PrimeTime 15U Black defeated South Texas Sliders 16U, 6-4. Benjamin Ybarra went 2-3 with one triple, one RBI and one run score. He was named player of the game. Also to note, Dwight Trevino went 2-3 with one run scored.

Game 3 from San Marcos HS ended in a 3-3 tie between DFW Twins and Lobos Baseball 2018. TJ Tomlinson went the distance as he struck out seven over seven innings with five hits and three earned runs allowed. He was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, Morris Austin went 2-3 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. Austin was named player of the game.

Texas Pro United beat Border Bombers 18U Luna, 4-3, in Game 4 from San Marcos HS. On the mound, Andy Gonzales threw three innings striking out two with two hits and no runs allowed. He was named pitcher of the game. At the plate, Ian Gleason went 2-3 with two triples and three runs batted in. He picked up player of the game.

PrimeTime 16U Black defeated Lobos Baseball 2019, 5-1, in Game 5 from San Marcos HS. Dylan Vanwicklen went 2-2 with two runs scored on his way to hitter of the game. Matt Flowers threw a complete game two-hitter. He struck out six batters with no earned runs on his way to player of the game.

Texas Lutheran

Texas Colt 45’s beat DFW Twins, 11-7, in Game 1 from Texas Lutheran. Mason Moran went 2-4 with four runs batted in. Isaac Lopez went 3-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. He stole one base and was named player of the game.

In Game 2 at Texas Lutheran, Border Bombers 16U Luna defeated RTG Baseball 16U Fisher, 5-3. Joseph Mojica went 2-2 with one run scored. On the bump, he threw 5.1 innings striking out two with two hits and no earned runs. Mojica was named player of the game.

PrimeTime Baseball 16U defeated RTG Baseball 16U Fisher, 7-6, in Game 3 from Texas Lutheran. Landre Buzard came in to throw 5.1 innings striking out four. He went 1-2 at the plate and picked up player of the game. The game ended on a putout and outfield assist from Carter Welch who nailed the runner at home (see below).

South Texas Sliders 16U beat SA Angels 16U, 5-0, in Game 4 from Texas Lutheran. Player of the game was Justin Anaya who threw all seven inning striking out four with five hits allowed. Hitter of the game was Jonathan Lugo who went 2-3 with two doubles, one RBI, two runs scored, and one stolen base.

In Game 5 from Texas Lutheran, Texas Muddogs defeated PrimeTime 15U Black, 11-6. Jackson Blietz went 2-5 with one double, two runs batted in, one run scored, and one stolen base. On the mound, Blietz threw 1.2 no-hit innings striking out two. He was named player of the game.

Texas State

Texas Colts Elite 17U beat Woodlands Express, 3-2, in Game 1 from Texas State. Rey Mendoza threw six innings striking out five with one earned run on his way to player of the game. Chase Carson threw two one-hit innings with two strikeouts. At the plate, Casey Sunseri went 1-3 with one double and was named hitter of the game.

In Game 2 from Texas State, SA Kings 17U Benavidez beat RTG Baseball Fisher 17U, 6-2. Connor Schmidt threw six one-hit innings striking out eight batters. He held the opposing team to a .053 batting average on his way to player of the game. Holden Philippus went 2-4 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. He was named hitter of the game.

Texas Colts Elite 17U beat Scripture Baseball 17U, 12-2, in Game 3 from Texas State. Cameron Herndon threw five innings striking out one with one earned on his way to pitcher of the game. Wyatt Lawley went 2-2 with one RBI and three runs scored. Tyler LaRue went 1-3 with one double and four runs batted in. And Luke Boyers went 2-4 with three runs batted in, two runs scored, and three stolen bases. Boyers was named player of the game.

In Game 4 from Texas State, RTG Baseball Fisher 17U beat Woodlands Express, 5-4. Ryan Labby was player of the game after going 2-3 with two triples and one run scored. Also to note, Martin Rodriguez went 2-3 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. Connor Taylor went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored.

In Game 5 from Texas State, Scripture Baseball beat San Antonio Kings 17U Benavidez, 7-4. Jackson Dietel had a nice game going 2-2 with two doubles off the wall and two runs batted in. He scored once and was named player of the game. Also to note, Chuck Rowell went 1-3 with two runs batted in.

In Game 3 from Baylor, Play Like a Pro Bulldogs defeated Arlington A’s Rombach, 12-3. For the A’s, Brayden Chambers went 2-3 with one triple and two runs batted in. For the Bulldogs, Cole Kracmer went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. Aaron Tesei went 3-4 with one RBI and three runs scored. Marcos Guereca went 2-4 with one double, two runs batted in and one run scored. He was named player of the game. And on the mound, Michael Nieves threw six innings striking out five. He gave up two earned runs and was named pitcher of the game.

In Game 4 from Baylor, TC Patriots Parras 16U beat MBA Carolina Blue, 7-4. For MBA, Carson Fuentes went 2-3 with one double. For the Patriots, Hunter Roe went 2-3 with one double. Hitter of the game was Ray Jaramillo who went 1-1 with one RBI and two runs scored. Player of the game was Benny Emmons who threw 3.2 one-hit innings striking out three with no earned runs.

McLennan

Amarillo Titans 2018 Van Buren defeated Fort Worth Cats 17U, 6-3, in Game 1 from McLennan. Logan Ellis was a dude going 2-3 with one double, one RBI and two runs at the plate. On the mound, he threw four one-hit inning striking out five. Ellis was named player of the game. Also to note, Hunter Nelson came in the seventh to get the save. He struck out one batter and did not give up a hit.

In Game 2 from McLennan, Fort Worth Cats 17U defeated DBAT Munguia, 9-8. For the Cats, Robert Goodloe went 2-3 with one boule, one triple and one run scored. Andrew Mason went 2-3 with one double, one home run, four runs batted in, and one run scored. Mason was named player of the game.

Team Rawlings Moulton beat Texas Stix Red 17U, 8-1, in Game 3 from McLennan. Jacob Castro went 1-3 with a grand slam. He scored twice and was named player of the game. Pitcher of the game was Kenton Pierce who threw six innings striking out six. He gave up six hits with no walks and no earned runs.

Texas Stix Red 17U defeated Cooperstown Cobras 17U, 9-2, in Game 4 from McLennan. Player of the game as Tanner Rhodes who threw six four-hit innings with one walk. He struck out seven batters with no runs allowed. Hitter of the game was James Crooks who went 3-3 with one double, one RBI, two runs scored and one stolen base. Vincent Mazzola went 2-4 with two doubles and two runs scored.

Midway HS

DBAT 17U Self defeated Dallas Mustangs Randle, 11-3, in Game 1 from Midway HS. Chance Gammill picked up player of the game after going 3-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. DBAT’s Yealex Lopez went 3-5. Branson Ward went 2-4 with three runs batted in and one run scored. For the Mustangs, Kyle Klemme went 2-3 with one double, one triple and one run scored. Brendan Bratton went 2-3 with two runs batted in. And Ryan Rodgers went 2-3 with one run scored.

C3 Futures Capps defeated Texas Stix White, 4-0, in Game 2 from Midway HS. Kason Howell went 2-3 with one double and one run scored on his way to player of the game. Cade Branum threw all seven innings striking out three and giving up two hits. He was named pitcher of the game.

Connery Peters was one walk from being perfect as Stix South 17U defeated C3 Futures Capps, 12-0, in Game 3 from Midway HS. Peters went all seven inning striking out eight with one walk and no hits. He picked up player of the game for the no-hitter. On offense, Javier Torres went 2-2 with one double and two runs batted in. Will Lance went 2-2 with one RBI and three runs scored. Both were named hitters of the game. Also to note, Brett Squires went 2-3 with two doubles and two runs batted in. Jonathan Hearn went 2-4 with one home run and three runs batted in.

Texas Stix South defeated McKinney Marshals 17U, 7-1, in Game 4 from Midway HS. Player of the game was Brett Squires who went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one run scored. Pitcher of the game was Ryan Quinn who threw a complete game striking out two batters with no walks and one earned run. Also to note, Stix’s Javier Torres went 3-4, Will Lance went 2-3 with one run scored and Will Hearn went 2-3 with two runs batted in. For the Marshals, Maccoy Lopez went 2-3 with one double and one run scored.

San Marcos HS

Round Rock Express Alexander beat Border Bombers 16U Luna, 11-2, in Game 1 from San Marcos. Cole Alexander went 2-3 with one triple (see below), three runs batted in, two runs scored, and one stolen base. He was named player of the game. Also to note, Jimmy Alexander went 2-3 with one double and two runs scored.

In Game 2 from San Marcos HS, Lobos Baseball 2019 defeated Round Rock Express Alexander, 11-1. Player of the game was Colton Brown who went 2-3 with two doubles, three runs batted in and two runs scored. Michael Gresham went 2-3 with one double, two runs batted in, two runs scored, and one stolen base.

Texas Lutheran

Texas Colts Elite 17U beat RTG Baseball Fisher 17U, 8-5, in Game 1 from Texas Lutheran. For RTG, Reid Anderson went 1-1 with one home run (see below), two runs batted in and two runs scored. For the Colts, Chase Carson threw five innings and struck out three. He was named pitcher of the game. Player of the game was Tyler LaRue who went 2-3 with one triple, three runs batted in and one run scored.

In Game 2 from Texas Lutheran, San Antonio Kings 17U Benavidez defeated Woodlands Express, 5-1. Brandon Jenkins threw all seven innings striking out three with no earned runs. At the plate, Jenkins went 1-3 with one RBI and one run scored. He was named player of the game.

Scripture Baseball beat RTG Baseball Fisher 17U, 9-5, in Game 3 from Texas Lutheran. For RTG, Ryan Labby went 2-3 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. Christian Vanpelt went 2-3 with one run and was named hitter of the game. Player of the game was Dylan Simpson who threw five innings with two strikeouts. He gave up four hits with no runs.

In Game 4 from Texas Lutheran, San Antonio Kings 17U Benavidez defeated Texas Colts Elite 17U, 7-5. Frankie Martinez Jr. went 2-3 with a home run and three runs batted in. With his one run scored, he was named player of the game. Also to note, for the Kings, Connor Schmidt went 2-3 with one RBI and one run scored.

Texas State

DFW Twins beat Border Bombers 18U Luna, 13-1, in Game 1 from Texas State. Kolton Crupton went 2-2 with three runs scored and three stolen bases. Zachary Swain threw the five innings striking out four with four hits allowed. He was named pitcher of the game. Hunter Jenkins picked up player of the game after going 2-2 with one triple, four runs batted in, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Check Jenkins in action in the video embedded below.

In Game 2 from Texas State, Round Rock Express 17U Puffer defeated Texas Colt 45’s Baseball, 11-4. Drew Dobbins had a nice game going 2-3 with one RBI, one run scored and one stolen base. Eric Worden went 1-2 with two runs batted in. Player of the game was Jeffrey Padavick who went 2-4 with one double, two runs scored and one stolen base.

Game 3 between Lobos Baseball 2018 and Texas Pro United ended in a 7-7 tie at Texas State. TJ Tomlinson went 2-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. He was named player of the game. For Pro United, Juan Zapata went 3-3 with two runs scored. Josh Bentzinger went 2-3 with two runs scored. For Lobos, Jet Collins went 2-3 with one run scored and Dustin Witt went 2-3.

Round Rock Express 17U Puffer beat DFW Twins, 5-1, in Game 4 from Texas State. Kimble Schuessler went 1-3 with two runs batted in. Mason Montgomery went 3-3 with one triple, one RBI and two runs scored. He picked up player of the game. Pitcher of the game was Wesley Gafford who threw all seven inning striking out three batters on the way to the victory.

Baylor

In the first 16U semi-final from Baylor, PrimeTime 16U Black beat Play Like a Pro Bulldogs, 9-5. For the Bulldogs, Bill Parkhurst went 2-4 with one double and two runs batted in. For PrimeTime, Ryan Patterson went 1-1 with one double, one RBI and two runs scored. Matt Flowers went 1-3 with one triple, one RBI and two runs scored. And Jordin Mewis went 2-4 with one triple, two runs batted in and one run scored. Mewis was named player of the game.

Texas State

In the first 17U semi-final from Texas State, Round Rock Express Puffer defeated DBAT Self, 7-3. For the Express, Jacob Wilk went 1-1 with a home run and two runs scored. Dylan Redmond went 1-3 with one double (see below) and two runs batted in on his way to hitter of the game. Mason Bryant threw 4.1 innings and struck out eight. He gave up three hits and was named player of the game.

Texas Stix Red 17U defeated San Antonio Kings 17U Benavidez, 5-2, in the second 17U semi-final from Texas State. For the Kings, Ben Hooper hitsa double, collected one RBI and scored a run. For the Stix, Jarrett Gable went 2-3 with one double, one RBI and one stolen base. Dean Lawler went 2-2 with one double, two runs scored and one stolen base. Both were name hitters of the game. And on the mound, Parker Abrego went five innings striking out seven. He was named player of the game.

In the 17U Championship game from Texas State, Round Rock Express Puffer defeated Texas Stix Red, 10-6. Mason Montgomery capped the week by going 3-4 with two doubles , two runs batted in and two runs scored. He got a hit in all six games he played in. Montgomery was named player of the game for his championship performance. Pitcher of the game was Cameron Johnson who worked 3.2 innings of shutout baseball in relief. He struck out five batters as well. Also to note, Zach Thomas went 1-3 with one home run and three runs batted in.
