Game 1 at Dallas Baptist saw the Arlington A’s defeat the Airhogs Martin 8-1. Nick Gardner threw the last 3 innings for the win.  Shea Langeliers led the way offensively for the A’s with 2 hits including a double and triple with 2 RBI’s.  David Ruot had 2 hits for the Airhogs in a losing cause.

In Game 2 at Dallas Baptist, Airhogs Martin defeated DBAT Bonesio 3-0 behind a 2 hit shutout from Davis Martin. The right-hander recorded 10 strikeouts with a power slider and a fastball between 86-89 MPH.  Both hits for DBAT came from Shortstop Hudson Sanchez.  Grant Jones and Lane Bourland recorded RBI singles for the Airhogs.

Game 3 at Dallas Baptist slated Dallas Patriots Valdez vs, Twelve Maroon 17U.  The Twelve won 2-1 behind the combined efforts of Pitchers Durbin Feltman and Walker Davis.  The duo scattered 6 hits to record the win.  Luken Baker doubled for the Twelve and scored both runs for the Twelve.  The offense for the Patriots was paced by Riley Pittman was 2-3 with a single and a triple and scored the lone run.  Brandon Provence threw 6 innings, surrendering 2 runs on 5 hits in a great effort

Game 4 at Dallas Baptist saw Twelve Maroon 17U defeat the Wichita Reds 4-1.  Jaxxon Grisham had 2 hits and Luken Baker tripled to drive in a run.  Collin Cameron combined 2 hits with a spectacular play in left field in the 5th inning to thwart a Reds rally. Brylie Ware doubled twice for the Reds in a losing effort.  Braden Minor tossed 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and exited the game in a 1-1 tie.

In Game 5, Twelve Maroon 16U defeated the Oklahoma Fuel 6-4.  Shelton Eppler threw 5 innings, with 6 strikeouts in earning the win. Koby Finley had 3 hits, including the game winner in the 5th inning.  Sammy Blair had 3 hits and 2 stolen bases to pace the Twelve offense.  For the Fuel, Keone Givens hammered the first home run of the tournament and collected 2 additional hits.  Jared Jones also had a multi-hit game for the Fuel including a double.

Weatherford College
Game 1 saw Dallas Patriots Stout defeat Twelve Maroon 16U 13-3.  Nick Cheema tossed a complete game and struckout 6 to earn the win.  The Patriot offense was led by Ryan Cash with 2 hits, 3 stolen bases and 2 runs scored.  Zack Chastain drove in 4 runs with a single and a double.

In Game 2, The Oklahoma Fuel defeated Mac N Seitz Foster 3-0.  The winning pitcher was KJ Orr in relief of Tanner Kliewer.  Orr tossed 3 scoreless innings.  The Fuel offense was led by Keone Givens who was 2-3 with an RBI.  Brody Shook had 2 hits and Catcher Zac Bycko drove in the first run of the game for the Fuel.  The play of the day was made by Right Fielder Tanner Madden with a superb diving catch in the right center gap.

The Game 3 matchup resulted in a dramatic finish as the Storm erased a 3-1 deficit in the 7th inning to capture a 4-3 win over Dallas Patriots Stout.  The winning pitcher was Thomas Lauer who tossed 6 innings while surrendering 2 earned runs.  Tyler Boertge was 2-4 with a double and RBI single for the Storm.  Hunter Seay paced the Patriot offense with 2 RBI’s on a 2 for 3 day.

Game 4 saw Mac N Seitz Foster use an offensive explosion to defeat the Amarillo Titans 13-2.  Jamey Fisher and Nolan Williams collected 3 hits each, while Eli Davis and Tyler Cox each had 2 hits.  The winning pitcher was Left Hander Hunter Swift from Staley High School.

In the night-cap, Game 5, the Amarillo Titans defeated the Storm 6-2.  JT Fogg and Browning Houser compiled 3 hits a piece in the win.  The winning pitcher for the Titans was Brent Silvas with 5 strikeouts in 4 innings.  For the Storm, Parker Murphy struck out 8 in 6 innings.

In Game 1, the Columbia Angels defeated DBAT Gallegos 2-1.  Mitchell Johnson threw 5 innings to get the win.  Catcher, Trent Bohny provided all of the Angels offense with a pair of RBI singles.  Jacob Vasquez recorded the save with 2 strong innings of relief.

Game 2 saw DBAT Gallegos shut out Dallas Mustangs Randle 7-0.  DBAT got a combined effort from Wren Petty, Rafael Quezeda, Braden Williams and James Rudkin for the win.  Offensively, DBAT was lead by Trent Clarke with a pair of doubles and 2 RBI’s from Luke Wakamatsu.  Rafael Quezeda picked up the win in relief,

The night-cap, Game 3, at TCU was a late inning come from behind win for the Burkburnett Blacksox over the Columbia Angels.  The Angels took an early 5-0 lead only to see it erased by the offensive efforts of Grason Wright and Chase Duncan.  Each had 2 hits, with Wright driving a double to the left field gap and a triple to the right center field wall.  Jared Biddy came in relief and held the Angels scoreless over the last 3 innings for a 7-5 victory.

Dudes of the Day
Jonathan Heasley – Complete game, 12 K’s, 1 hit allowed for Dallas Patriots Stout
Connor Kaiser – 4 hits, 2 for Extra Bases with 2 RBI’s for Mac N Seitz Indians
Bryce Verplank – 4 for 6 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI’s, 3 runs scored and picked up the save in 2 innings of scoreless relief for Dallas Mustangs Randle.


Game 1 was dominated by 2 outstanding pitching performances from Parker Schkade and Blake Wellman. Wellman captured the win for the Twelve with 4 strikeouts while giving up 2 hits in a 1-0 win for Twelve Maroon.  Both players touched 88 MPH. David Ruot doubled for the Airhogs.  Kyle Swanson singled in the 3rd and eventually scored the winning run.

Game 2 saw the Twelve Maroon 16U defeat the Amarillo Titans 5-4. Brooks Namken picked up the win in relief after a strong starting performance by Logan Freeman.  Freeman threw 4 innings, giving up 1 earned run and collected 4 strikeouts.  Chase Basham had 2 hits including a double and RBI single in the 4th.  Shelton Eppler had the game winning hit in the 7th inning.

In Game 3 at TCU, Storm Baseball shut out The Oklahoma Fuel behind the superb pitching performance of Eric Jeon for a 3-0 win.  Jeon tossed a complete game scattering 5 hits with 8 strikeouts and walked none.  Catcher, Matt Bernstein delivered a 2 RBI single in the 6th inning to provide the winning runs.  Trevor Boiles drove in the 3rd run of the game with a follow up RBI double.

Game 4 at TCU saw a dominant performance by Jonathan Heasley of the Dallas Patriots Stout.  Heasley dominated the Amarillo Titans in a 4-1 win.  The right-hander recorded 12 strikeouts and gave up 1 hit in a complete game.  The lone hit for the Titans came with one out in the 7th from Austin Baker.  Offensively for the Patriots, Ryan Cash and Hunter Seay drove in runs for the Patriots.

The night cap, Game 5, at TCU had Mac N Seitz Foster shut out Storm Baseball 8-0.  Tanner Fox tossed a 2 hit shut out and recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks.  Centerfielder Eli Davis was 2 for 2 with a triple in the 4th.  Wichita State commit, Noah Croft was 2-3 with an RBI.

Weatherford College
In Game 1, DBAT Bonesio defeated the Wichita Reds 7-1. DBAT exploded for 7 runs in the 2nd inning. Derek Wells tossed 4 shutout innings for the win. Hudson Sanchez had 2 hits in the second inning including an RBI Double.

Game 2 featured Dallas Patriots Valdez vs the Wichita Reds. With the game tied 2-2, Brylie Ware unleashed a bases clearing triple to secure a 5-2 win for the Reds.  Mason LeClair tossed 5 strong innings allowing 1 earned run.  Dalton Dinkel picked up the win in relief with Jacob Gibson recording the save.  Offensively, Tramaine Simpson had 2 hits including an RBI double.

In Game 3, the Arlington A’s defeated DBAT Bonesio 6-0.  Eric Walker threw 6 shutout innings with 5 strikeouts to get the win for the A’s.  Ben Martin, Nick Evarts and Aaron Fanning had 2 hits each to lead the A’s offensively. Nick Evarts turned in some defensive gems to stall DBAT rallies and added a double himself.

Game 4 saw Dallas Patriots Valdez top Airhogs Martin 6-4.  Gabe Martinez threw 5 innings in relief with 5 strikeouts in the win.  Robert Salazar delivered 2 hits, 2 runs and an RBI.  Antonio Lima also had 2 hits a run and a stolen base in a winning effort.  David Ruot was 2-3 with 2 RBI’s in the loss for the Airhogs.

In the finale, Game 5, at Weatherford College Twelve 17U Maroon bested the Arlington A’s  6-1. Collin Garrett captured the win by going 4 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 4.  Collin Cameron closed the game by striking out 5 over the last 3 innings with a fastball at 88-90 MPH. The player of the game was Durbin Feltman who had 2 hits including an RBI double.  Walker Davis and Luken Baker each added multi-hit games.  Ben Martin, from Stephenville, had 2 hits in a losing effort for the A’s.

In Game 1, Dallas Mustangs Randle defeated the Columbia Angels 5-3 behind a complete game from Charlie Hatcher. The Lefty scattered 4 hits and had 6 strikeouts in the win.  The Mustangs had an RBI Triple from Cooper Chaltas and multi-hit games from Bryce Verplank, Caleb Scires and Garrett Hudson.

Game 2 at Dallas Baptist saw the Columbia Angels defeat the Fort Worth Cats 6-0.  Garrett Reed threw 5 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts for the win.  Tyler Smith had a 2 RBI triple to pace the Angels offense. Jon Nicholson threw 2 scoreless innings in relief and was 89-90 MPH, touching 91.

Game 3 matched Dallas Mustangs Randle vs Burkburnett Blacksox.  The Mustangs won 7-5 behind 5 strong innings from Garrett Hudson. Jimmy Pogue and JT Van Gelder had 2 hits each. Game MVP goes to Bryce Verplank. The big Right hander was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI, stolen base and tossed 2 innings for the save.

In Game 4 at DBU, Mac N Seitz Indians exploded for 13 runs to defeat the Burkburnett Blacksox 14-3.  Vanderbilt Commit, Connor Kaiser was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and a walk.  Luke Ritter was 1-2 with 3 RBI’s.  Alex Knight cruised on the mound going 4 2/3 with 5 strikeouts for the win.

The last game of the day, Game 5, at DBU saw DBAT Gallegos defeat Mac N Seitz Indians 4-2. Seth Elledge was the pitcher of the game by throwing 3 effective innings at 86-88 MPH.  Josh Ragan was 1 for 3 with a 2 run triple and made a circus catch in right field.  Rice commit, Luke Wakamatsu also tripled and played solid defense at Shortstop.  Connor Kaiser doubled for the Indians.

Dudes of the Day
Riley Pint lit up the radar gun at 97 MPH and got the win.
Luken Baker touched 94 MPH and recorded a save.
Cooper Chaltas was 3 for 4, scored 3 runs, had 4 RBI’s and Homered.
Alex Knight blasts 3-run home run to lead team to victory.
Joe Lienhard tosses complete game shutout.
Zach Copple doubles in both games today.
Matt Armstrong doubles twice and drives in 4.
Patrick Mixon doubles twice and drives in 5.
Eli Davis strikes out 7 in 5 innings and gets the win.


Game 1 at TCU saw Joe Lienhard throw a complete game shutout in Wichita Reds 6-0 win over Airhogs Martin.  Lienhard pounded the strike zone, scattering 3 hits and only throwing 76 pitches.  Offensively, Garrett Xanders and Will Clark had 2 hits each.  Adding to the offensive barrage was Tanner Padget, Jacob Gibson and Brylie Ware, all with RBI doubles.  Brylie Ware was the Player of the game with 3 RBI’s.

In Game 2, The Arlington A’s scored 5 runs in the first 2 innings leading to a 6-2 victory over the Wichita Reds.  Allan Wallander was the pitcher of the game, tossing a shut out until having to exit with an injury in the 4th. Nick Gardner came in relief to record the win.  Crowley’s Zach Copple slammed a 2 RBI double and played spectacular defense as the games MVP. Shea Langeliers also doubled and drove in a run for the A’s.

Game 3 matched Twelve Maroon 17U and DBAT Bonesio.  Twelve Maroon won 3-0 behind the effort of Beau Ridgeway on the mound.  Ridgeway tossed 4 hitless innings.  Luken Baker threw the last 3 innings to record the save.  Walker Davis collected 2 hits and a walk with a run scored.  Luken Baker delivered an RBI single to open the inning.

Game 4 saw Dallas Patriots Valdez defeat DBAT Bonesio 5-0.  Trevor Nolen threw 4 innings and gave up 2 hits for the win.  Ashton Easley completed the game for the save. Darius Hill had 3 RBI’s including a 2 run double in the 5th.

The nightcap, Game 5, at TCU was an outstanding baseball game between Dallas Patriots Valdez and the Arlington A’s.  A’s starter Chase Morris scattered 7 hits and battled through a bases loaded jam in the 7th to get the complete game win. It was an outstanding effort from the Right Hander from Arlington Martin.  Morris’ high school teammate, Trip White provided the offensive spark for the A’s to secure a 3-2 victory.  The Patriots had an outstanding performance from Riley Pittman.  The first baseman doubled twice and drove in both of the Patriot runs in the loss.  This was a quality game by 2 very well coached teams.  It was a great way to end a great day.

In the opener, Game 1, behind 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s from Matt Armstrong, the Burkburnett Blacksox defeated the FW Cats 8-5.  The big blow from Armstrong came in the 6th inning with the bases loaded to drive in 3 runs. Riley Smith also added 2 hits and drove in a run for the Sox. For the Cats, JB Moran collected 2 hits with a double and RBI single.

Game 2 saw DBAT Gallegos defeat the Burkburnett Blacksox 4-2.  Trent Clark was the MVP with a double, run scored and RBI single.  The winning pitcher was Luke Scaggs who went 4 innings while striking out 3 Sox hitters.  Clay Sherman tossed 3 shutout innings in relief.  Matt Mikusek also collected an RBI double for DBAT.

Game 3 had the Columbia Angels sneak by the Mac n Seitz Indians 3-2.  Jacob Vasquez delivered a walk off single for the win.  Tyler Fadal picked up the win with 5 scoreless innings of relief. Connor Frazier started the scoring for the Indians with a 2 RBI double in the second.  Trent Bohny and Tyler Smith each had 2 hits for the Angels.

In Game 4, Cody Farhat went 3 for 3, scoring 2 runs and swiped 4 bases in a 7-1 win for DBAT Gallegos over the FW Cats.  Peyton Conser got the win with 4 innings of work and allowing 1 run with 4 strikeouts.  Alex Steigler tossed 3 scoreless innings in relief.

Game 5 was a slugfest between Dallas Mustangs Randle and Mac N Seitz Indians.  The Indians outlasted the Mustangs 15-9.  Cooper Chaltas collected 3 hits for the Mustangs including a 2 run blast.  Not to be outdone, Alex Knight blasted a 3 run home run in the bottom of the 6th.  Conrad McMahon and Connor Kaiser each had multi-hit games for the Indians.  Jesse Perez picked up the win in relief.

In Game 1, The Oklahoma Fuel defeated the Amarillo Titans 9-0.  Cole Ballinger went 6 innings for the Fuel, striking out 2.  Centerfielder Jake Martin was 3 for 3 with an RBI and run scored.  Dylan Caplinger added 2 hits with a double.

Game 2 saw the Storm explode for 18 runs in defeating Twelve Maroon 16U 18-5.  The storm had 13 hits, 4 from Patrick Mixon.  Mixon collected 5 RBI’s with 2 doubles.  Matt Bernstein had 2 hits with a triple and 3 RBI’s.  Brandon Lewis collected the win on the mound.

In Game 3, Dallas Patriots Stout topped the Oklahoma Fuel 2-0.  Hunter Seay started on the mound and threw 3-2/3 scoreless innings.  Michael Spinozzi went the rest of the way surrendering 1 hit to record the win.  Zackary Chastain had a big day at the plate with 3 hits including a double and RBI.  Cody Sturgeon added another double for the Patriots.  For the Fuel, Keone Givens added another hit to finish the tournament 10 for 16.

Game 4 at DBU turned out to be the Wow game of the tournament.  Mac N Seitz Foster Right hander, Riley Pint, lit up the radar gun in a 8-2 win over Twelve Maroon 16U.  Pint hit 97 MPH multiple times in the first inning.  In 5 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 3 hits and struck out 6.  Nolen Williams was 2 for 2 with a double and 5 RBI’s on the night. Hunter Swift and Noah Croft each had multi-hit games as well.

In the finale, Game 5, at DBU, Eli Davis pitched 5 innings and stuck out 7 in a 4-2 win for Mac N Seitz Foster over Dallas Patriots Stout.   Mac N Seitz utilized execution to drive in 3 runs via Sacrifice Fly.  Nolan Williams was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s and Jamey Fisher recorded the save.

Sunday, June 29th, 2014

In Game 1 at TCU the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Mac N Seitz Indians 2-0.  Cat’s pitcher Connor Cranford had complete control of the game throwing a 4 hit shut out.   The Cat’s offense was led by Chase Zamarron, who had 2 hits, and Skyler Krier who hit a rocket off of the right field wall.

In the last game of the weekend, Game 2, the Dallas Mustangs held on to beat the Fort Worth Cats 3-2. Jon Skidmore went 2-2 with an RBI double and Josh Aguilar had a big single in the 5th knocking in 2 runs for the Mustangs.  On the mound the Mustang’s received a strong outing from Landon Sumner who scattered 4 hits and picked up the W.

Parker Schkade: Complete game Win, 9K’s 5 Hits in 2-1 win.
KJ Orr: Complete game, 1 hit shutout, 8 K’s in 5-0 win.

4:30 PM Game
The Oklahoma Fuel got a complete game shut out from KJ Orr to defeat DFW Twins Wimpee 5-0. Orr gave up a lone hit and struck out 8 in a dominating performance. Keone Givins was 2-2 and stole 2 bases while scoring 3 of the 5 Fuel Runs.

7:00 PM Game
Airhogs Martin used a stellar pitching performance to defeat the Oklahoma Fuel 2-1. Parker Schkade avoided some early trouble to strike out 9 and scatter 5 hits in a complete game performance. Offensively, Davis Martin and Lane Bourland each collected doubles that contributed to the Airhogs runs.

9:00 PM Game
Oklahoma Fuel/Sandlot received a tremendous effort from their staff in using 6 pitchers to defeat Action Baseball 2017 4-1. Jake Taylor broke the game open in the top of the 6th with a 3-run double to left center field, one hopping the wall. Justin Cooke collected two hits and tossed the 7th to record the save.

DBAT Tompkins 2 Texas Raiders 1 –Matthew Nemecek was the MVP of this game with 2 triples, an RBI and a spectacular diving catch in the 7th inning to close out the win.  Winning pitcher was Parker White allowing only 1 run and compiling 5 strikeouts.  Cody Doucet recorded the save with 3 scoreless innings in relief with 4 strikeouts.

Amarillo Titans Lay 8 DFW Twins Wimpee 3-  Dustin Roberts gained the win for the Titans by going 4 strong innings and giving up no earned runs.  JT Fogg had the big hit with a 2 RBI single.

DFW Twins Spaniel 5 Airhogs Morrison 2 – William Sutherland delivered the big blow with a 3 run bomb in the 7th inning to provide the offense for the Twins.  Not to be outdone, Dylan Ditzenberger had 3 hits, drove in the tying run in the 7th and earned the win in relief on the mound.

DFW Twins Walker 5 THZ Academy 17U 4 – Randy Criever came in relief to capture the win for the Twins, tossing 3 innings and striking out a pair.  Cal Wyatt hit a solo homerun in the 1st inning.  Chaylon Fisher collected the game tying triple in the 7th and eventually scored the winning run.

Texas Stix 16U 4 Arlington A’s Robinson 3 – Alex Griggs tossed a complete game while striking out 6 to earn the victory.  At the plate, Ulysses Cantu had a banner day with 3 hits, including 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.

Arlington Heat 15U 5 Texas Toros 3 – Behind a strong starting performance from Ryan Thomas and stellar relief from Drew Fulks, the Heat defeated the Toros.  Chris Gay and Drew Fulks each had 2 RBI’s to provide the offense for the Heat.  Gay started a key double play in the 5th to eliminate a 2 on, nobody out threat.

Amarillo Titans Lay 4 DBAT Chapman 4 – The Amarillo Titans use a 2 out, 2 RBI single from Browning Houser to tie up DBAT Chapman. DBAT received a great starting effort from Seth Ellege to take a 3 run lead into the 7th. Ellege tossed 6 innings and recorded 6 strikeouts while allowing a lone run.

DBAT Vega 8 Airhogs Morrison 6– Aaron Weseman struckout 11 in 5-2/3 innings to earn the win over the Airhogs.  Preston Minor had a double and 2 RBI’s for DBAT.  Brock Martin and Riley Hedge each hit homeruns in the losing effort.

Action Baseball 16 5 Blackhawks Elite 4 – Action Baseball scored the game winning run in the last inning off a fielders choice from Johnny Panatex for a come from behind win over the Blackhawks.  Panatex also cam in relief to hold the Blackhawks in check to set up the come back win throwing 2-1/3 innings for the win.

Texas Stix 17U 4 Airhogs McMullen 2 – The Stix got 6-1/3 quality innings from Jared Thacker to defeat the Airhogs.  Jordan Speck provided great defense behind Thacker to earn Player of the Game honors.

DBAT Vega 2 DFW Twins Spaniel 1 – DBAT Vega got a complete game from Preston Minor to defeat the Twins 2-1.  Tyler Garcia delivered a 2 RBI single that was all that Minor would need for the victory.  Twins starter Devon Oliver threw 5 quality innings with 5 strikeouts in the loss.

Oklahoma Fuel 2 DBAT Chapman 1 – The Oklahoma Fuel defeated DBAT Chapman behind a complete game 4 hitter from Tanner Kliewer.  The right hander from Edmond Santa Fe struck out 9 and topped out at 89 MPH.  Spencer Cothran provided the offense with 3 hits, along with an RBI double from Zac Bycko.

Texas Stix 16U 1 Fort Worth Cats 0 – Matthew Canterino tossed 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6 in a great pitchers duel for the win.  Cats starter, Sean McElwee went 5-2/3 with 7 strikeouts.  The only run was driven in by Soren Krug on a SAC fly to score Michael Chambers.

Action Baseball 2017 7 Amarillo Titans Bellino 5–  Action Baseball 2017 received a solid outing from starter Joe Deitz who picked up the W throwing 6 innings and allowing only 5 hits.  Tyler Petit and Grant Miller set the pace for Action Baseball ‘s offense with 2 hits a piece.  Ryan Bishop went 1-2 in the game with a big 2 RBI single.

NTX Dirtbags 10  DFW Twins Walker 0– Winning pitcher Erik Key had a phenomenal outing for the Dirtbags striking out 6 in 5 hitless innings of work.  Offensively the Ditbags were led by shortstop Trae Patterson who had 2 hits, 2 runs and 3 RBI’s and catcher Skyler Henderson who had 2 hits.

Storm Baseball 9 Dallas Mustangs Stafford 2– The game provided for some afternoon fireworks with homeruns from Matthew Bernstein and Sean Holehouse.
A strong team performance at the plate propelled Storm Baseball to a 9-2 win.  Ryan Snyder and Trevor Boiles both collected 3 hits apiece. Thomas Lauer started for the Storm and threw 3 strong scoreless innings.

THZ Academy 16U 7 Amarillo Titans Jones 6 – Ryan Keesee drove in the first and last runs of the game to lead THZ to a 7-6 win.  The deciding run was driven in by Keesee with a SAC fly in the 6th inning.  Christian Larson was a work horse on the mound, tossing 5 innings and not giving up an earned run.

DBAT Cravens 4 DBAT Wilson 3 – Hunter Markwardt threw 4 effective innings, and had 2 hits in DBAT Cravens 4-3 win.  Christian Boulware came in relief to record the win and also added 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Both guys contributed offensively and defensively to lead the way.

Amarillo Titans Bellino 8 Oklahoma Fuel/Sandlot 5- Reese Patterson’s big 3 RBIs turned out to be the deciding factor in the Titans 8-5 win over the Fuel/Sandlot.  Duncan Chew picked up the W throwing 5 1/3 and striking out 5.  Conner Eades got the save throwing 1 2/3.  For the Fuel/Sandlot Brock Henderson hit a 3 run bomb in the bottom of the third inning.

Oklahoma Fuel 17u 3 Arlington Heat 2– Starting pitcher Cole Ballenger set the pace for the Oklahoma Fuel throwing a complete game 2 hitter while only allowing 1 run.  The runs for the Fuel came from Jake Martin and Ryan Huber.  Jake Martin went 2-3 in the game with a big RBI. Ryan Huber had an impressive game at the plate going 2-2 with a double and 2 RBIs.

Airhogs Martin 17U 2 DBAT Chapman 0 – Davis Martin was dominant in throwing a no hitter against DBAT. Martin struck out 9 and faced 1 over the minimum.  Clay Wegner provided all of the offense with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s.  For Martin, that is 19 strikeouts in 2 outings at Five Tool Events.

Airhogs McMullen 17U 10 Texas Raiders 0  – Zach Burch threw 6 innings of 2 hit ball and recorded 9 strikeouts to defeat the Raiders 10-0.  Anthony Valdez had an RBI double to lead the scoring for the Airhogs.

Texas Stix 16u 8 Action Baseball 2016 0- Starting pitcher Christian Julius had a strong outing for the Stix throwing 5 innings with 7 Ks and only allowing 2 hits in their 8-0 victory over Action Baseball.  Ulysses Cantu had another big game at the plate for the Stix with a 2 RBI 2b in the first and a solo home run in the 2nd.  Also for the Stix, Michael Chambers and Michael Acuna both had solid days at the plate collecting 2 hits apiece.

THZ Academy 17u 6 NTX Dirtbags 5– Garrett Oltmann had a huge game for THZ on the mound and at the plate, leading them to a 6-5 W over the Dirtbags.  On the mound Oltmann threw 3 shutout innings of relief, striking out 3 and picking up the W.  At the plate Oltman had 2 hits including a timely 2 RBI single that gave THZ the lead. For the Dirtbags Phil Young collected 2 hits and 2 RBI and reliever Trae Patterson struck out 6 in 2 1/3 innings.

Texas Stix 16u 2 DBAT Bonesio 1 – In a great matchup, both teams received outstanding pitching performance that stymied the offenses.  Kyle Muller and Blair Henley both tossed gems for DBAT.  Not to be outdone, Ulysses Cantu and Tanner Boyzuick combined to hold DBAT to a single run for the Stix.  Boyzuick picked up the win in relief.  Centerfielder, Trevor Jurecka put on a show in centerfield with 2 circus catches that both saved runs and the game.  Jurecka also doubled in the game as the Most Valuable Player.

Wichita Reds 8 THZ 17u 3 – Braden Anderson went 5 innings, striking out 7, in an 8-3 win for the Reds over THZ.  Bishop Carroll’s, Colton Woodard, was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s as the Player of the Game.  Brett Leiferman collected 2 hits, including an RBI Double for THZ in a losing effort.

Oklahoma Fuel/Sandlot 9 Airhogs Morrison 1 – Foster Roy threw a complete game in a 9-1 win for our neighbors to the North.  Roy allowed only 2 hits and gave up 1 run while collecting 4 strikeouts.  Conner Uselton had a multi-hit game, including a double and 2 RBI’s in the win for the Fuel/Sandlot.  Jake Taylor and Peyton Battenfield also doubled for the winners.

Amarillo Titans Lay 5 Airhogs Martin 17u 2 – Brent Silvas tossed 6 innings and gave up 2 runs in the 5-2 win for the Titans.  Silvas also added a single and RBI with 2 stolen bases.  Isaac Garland collected 2 hits and an RBI and scored a run to provide additional offense.  Davis Martin hammered a solo homerun for the Airhogs in the 6th.

DFW Twins Spaniel 6 Oklahoma Fuel/Sandlot 4 – Aaron Stramel tossed 5-2/3 innings, scattering 4 hits and striking out 4 in the Twins 6-4 win.  Will Sutherland continued his hot hitting with a 3 for 3 game and 2 RBI’s.  Mike Nowak hit a massive 2 run homerun in the win. Brock Henderson for the Fuel had two very nice hits up the middle with one RBI, 2 stolen bases and 2 scores.

THZ Academy 16U 6 Texas Toros 5 – Jaden McKinley recorded his second win in 2 days with a scoreless 7th inning.  Bailey Dismuke tied the game for THZ with a 7th inning double that tied the game.  THZ also got offensive support from a Ryan Clouse triple and a 2 RBI single from Micah Caldwell.  Ryan Keesee drove in the game winner with an RBI single.

Blackhawks Elite 6 Arlington A’s 4 – Dylan Neuse leadoff the game with a homerun and later doubled to pace the Blackhawk offense.  Titus Gossett threw 5-2/3 innings with 6 strikeouts to earn the win.  Gossett surrendered 1 earned run.

Ft. Worth Cats 13 DBAT Bonesio 9– With 2 outs and the game tied 9-9 in in the bottom of the 6th inning, William Sheats hit a game winning grand slam.  Sheats also had a big double earlier in the game.  On the mound Garrett Mendoza picked up the W in relief throwing 5 2/3 and striking out 5.  The Cats also got strong performances at the plate from Michael Negrete and Lucas Polanco who both had multi hit games.

DBAT Matthews 6 DBAT Dean 3– Starting pitcher Alex Stiegler led DBAT Matthews to a 6-3 victory over DBAT Dean.  Stiegler threw a complete game striking out 7 while only giving up 3 hits.  Along with getting the W on the mound, Stiegler also had a great game at the dish, collecting 2 hits including a bases clearing 3 RBI double.  Bradley Gneiting also had a good day at the plate for Matthews reaching base 3 times.

DFW Twins Spaniel 9 Amarillo Titans Bellino 1– Joe Fragano tossed a complete game 3 hitter in the Twins victory over the Titans.  Along the way Fragano picked up 9 K’s while only allowing 1 run.  Blake Burns led the Twins offense with 2 hits and 2 RBIs.  In addition for the Twins, Deron Oliver went 2-2 and Mike Nowak left the yard.

DBAT Cravens 10 Texas Toros 3– Behind a complete game 5 hitter from starter Colton Knierim, DBAT Cravens defeated the Texas Toros 10-3.  Knierim gave up no earned runs and struck out 3. Knierim also had a great game at the plate going 3-4 with 3 RBI.   Sam Marbut also added a double for DBAT.

Blackhawks 4 Fort Worth Cats 3- Connor Herriage straight up dealt on the mound for the Blackhawks striking out 12, giving up 1 hit, and allowing no earned runs in 6 stellar innings of work.  Dylan Neuse had another impressive game at the dish, picking up 2 hits including a double.  However, Erik Friedel picks up Player of the Game at the plate with 2 hits and 3 huge RBIs.

Texas Stix 17u 5 Dallas Mustangs Stafford 2–  The Texas Stix used a dominant outing  by starting pitcher Reece Etter to defeat the Mustangs 5-2.  Reece threw a complete game picking up the W, allowing no earned runs and striking out 8.  Offensively for the Stix it was a team effort with several different guys getting a hit and a RBI.

Storm Baseball 9 DBAT Tompkins 3 – Eric Jeon threw his 2nd complete game in back to back weeks at the Five Tool Show.  Jeon kept the DBAT hitters off balance while striking out 3.  Player of the game is a toss up.  Trevor Boiles, Matt Bernstein and Josh Ringsdorf all had big nights at the plate.  Boiles was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI’s.  Ringsdorf was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s.  Not to be outdone, Matt Bernstein was 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI’s.  It was quite a night for the Storm offensively.

Amarillo Titans Bellino 3 DBAT Vega 2 – Jensen Deaver tossed a complete game in a thrilling 3-2 win for the Titans.  With the tying run at 2nd base in the 7th inning, Garrett Cobb made an amazing diving catch in right center field to secure the win.  Deaver struck out 4, scattered 3 hits and allowed 1 earned run.  Offensively, Canyon Randall’s, Conner Eades delivered a 2 out, 2 RBI double in the 5th that proved large in turning the momentum for the Titans.

Dallas Mustangs Stafford 12 Texas Raiders 3 – Malik Jones, Austin Beller, Sean Holehouse and Trenton Farrow put on an Extra Base hit show to defeat the Raiders.  Holehouse was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles.  Farrow launched a 2 run homerun.  Beller and Jones each had 2 doubles as well.  On the mound, Noah Embry threw a complete game, not allowing an earned run.  Embry recorded 8 strikeouts in the win.

Amarillo Titans Jones 6 Texas Toros 2 – Ryne Williams tossed 5 effective innings to give the Titans a 6-2 win.  The right hander allowed 1 earned run and scattered 4 hits, while striking out 5 Toro hitters.  Caysan Lytal relieved Williams in the 6th to close the door on the Toros.  Offensively, Benton Rogers collected 3 hits and drove in 1 to capture Player of the Game honors.

DBAT Wilson 7 THZ Academy 16U 1 – Harrison Beethe went 5-1/3 innings for DBAT to get the win over THZ Academy.  Beethe allowed 4 hits and 1 run.  At the plate, Cameron Valle collected 2 hits.  The Player of the Game was Durance Nye with 2 doubles and a run scored.

DFW Twins Walker 6 Wichita Reds 4 – Garrett Walker threw 6 innings in a 6-4 win over the Reds.  Walker allowed 6 hits and 2 runs in an effective outing for the Twins.  Chaylon Fisher & Zach Gingrich were both 2 for 3 with doubles and RBI’s to lead the Twins offense.

DBAT Dean 6 NTX Dirtbags 2 – Corbin Hernandez had an RBI double and Austin Dean singled and scored 2 runs as DBAT defeated the Dirtbags 6-2.  Call Florence was the winning pitcher with 6 innings pitched and 4 strikeouts.

DBAT Tompkins 4 Airhogs McMullen 2 – Zack Shepherd had 2 hits and Matthew Nemecek tripled in the go ahead run in the 5th as DBAT topped the Airhogs 4-2.  Michael Pilato picked up the win with 2 shutout innings in relief.  DBAT starter, Isaac Hale, struck out 6 in 5 innings of work and didn’t allow an earned run.

2:00 PM Games
DBAT Wilson 10 Arlington Heat 5 – Sawyer Lake threw 3 scoreless innings in relief to hold off the Arlington Heat 10-5.  The Player of the Game was an outstanding performance by Shane Gerths.  The catcher from Celina drove in 5 runs with an RBI single, a bases loaded 3 RBI double and a SAC fly.

Storm Baseball 10 Airhogs McMullen 2– A pair of 3 run HRs from Patrick Mixon and Trevor Boiles led the Storm to a 10-2 victroy over Airhogs McMullen. Parker Murphy went 6 innings for the Storm, striking out 5 while only allowing 1 ER.

DBAT Tompkins 6 Dallas Mustangs 4–  DBAT pitcher Tyler Duck picked up the W throwing 5 solid innings.  Duck had 5k’s and only allowed 2 hits and 2 earned runs.  Hunter Markwardt went 2-3 on the game with a double and 3 runs. Bryce Bonner also hit a solo HR in the 2nd inning.

Texas Stix 17u 9 Texas Raiders 0– Starting pitcher Collin Lovato led the Texas Stix to a 9-0 victory with 12 Ks in an impressive 6 innings of work.  Lovato gave up no runs and only 2 hits.  At the plate Chad Flenar and Jared Thacker both had multi hit games.  Thacker went 3-4 with an RBI double.  Also for the Stix, Alex Kempf hit a 2 RBI triple.

4:30 PM Game
Storm 5 Texas Stix 4 – in one of the best games of the weekend, Michael Wheeler put on a defensive show, Josh Ringsdorf wore one off the chest to save a run, and in typical fashion, Matt Bernstein got a monster hit for a 5-4 Storm win.  Brandon Lewis threw 4-2/3 quality innings, Jordan Speck blasted a RBI double in the 5th to get the Stix within 1.  Trevor Boiles came in relief  of Thomas Lauer and got a huge double play ball to get the Storm out of trouble. It was just one of the 3 sparkling plays from Wheeler. The Stix were only able to get within one due to a Solo blast from Matt Bernstein in the top of the inning. Bernstein continued his MVP type performance through the last game of the tournament.
